About This Pub
So, picture this: you're in Apperley Bridge and fancy a proper pub experience – that's where The New Dog & Gun really shines. From the reviews, it's clear folks love the friendly bar staff who go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in with the family and your dog. The atmosphere is spot on, with a great selection of real ales and that classic pub feel, plus a beer garden that's just the ticket for sunnier days. It's also brilliant for catching sports or bringing the kids along, which adds to its appeal as a versatile spot. On the downside, though, their online setup is a bit ropey – the website's not much help, and without a phone number or a claimed profile, it might leave you scratching your head if you need details in a hurry. Still, with a solid 4.4 rating from heaps of happy visitors, it's definitely worth a try if you're in the area; just keep an eye on those opening times to avoid any surprises. All in all, it's a gem for a laid-back catch-up, but it could do with sorting out the digital side to make life easier for newcomers.

Made everyone welcome including 'Elsa the Maltipoo'
Superb pub. Brilliant staff. Great atmosphere. Made so many friends in 6 months and dogs are treated equal and Scott is da bomb!
Interesting I have been in most pubs in the area but never been in here. Nice pub and a decent pint.
Good old-fashioned locals pub. Always has a couple of real ales on the pumps. The Rev James was very good. Also a large beer garden out the back of the pub. With under cover seating and out in the open seating nice little sun trap. Well worth a visit if you're passing.
Top staff great atmosphere. Kids love going after football and bar staff are great with them. Always made to feel welcome, has all the sports showing when you need it. All round one of the best for a pint, catchup and sports
