About This Pub

Ah, The Cracker Barrel Micro Pub – what a lovely find in Bradford! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this genuine, homely vibe that just draws you in. The beers are a real highlight; they've nailed the selection with cask ales and rotating guests, and at such fair prices, it's easy to see why folks keep coming back for more. The food sounds scrumptious too, with people going on about how yummy it is, making it a great choice for a casual bite. The staff really shine here – super approachable and keen to make sure everyone's having a good time, just like in those glowing reviews. On the downside, the lack of parking is a proper nuisance; it might put you off if you're not up for a walk or dealing with street spots, and it can get a bit crowded, even midweek, so you might not always snag a seat straight away. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed pint or catch-up, and with ratings as high as they are, I'd say it's worth overlooking the minor gripes for the overall experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer selection is absolutely spot on – they've got a cracking range of cask ales and guest options that keep things fresh and exciting.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with old mates.
  • Prices are really reasonable, so you can enjoy a pint or some grub without breaking the bank.
  • The food is delicious and hits the spot, with reviewers raving about it like it's a proper treat.
  • There's outdoor seating front and back, perfect for soaking up the sun on a nice day.
Cons
  • No on-site parking can make it a bit of a faff, especially if you're driving or have mobility challenges.
  • It gets busy even on quieter days, which might mean waiting around for a table or a spot at the bar.

Visited the The Crackef Barrel pub for a funeral wake. The food they provided was gorgeous, wherever they got their stock from, they need to continue with. Great staff, knew how exactly to pull a Guinness too. Would visit here again. Only downfall is no parking so can be hard for those with disabilities. However I would definitely recommend this place.

Good selection of beer, though most customers appear to be on lager. Good prices. Tidy micropub with outdoor seating front and back.

Wow what a warm welcome you get at this recently awarded Bradford pub of the year. Both staff and regulars are super friendly and make it an absolute pleasure to drink here. They’ve got Tets on as a mainstay plus 2 or 3 changing guest cask ales. About a 15 minute walk to Apperley Bridge 🚂 and it’s all downhill on the way back 👍🏻
