About This Pub
Ah, Willow Bank Tavern – what a lovely little spot in Liverpool! From what I've gathered, it's got this warm, welcoming feel that's just packed with that authentic Scouse spirit, perfect for popping in after a wander around the city. The prices are an absolute bargain; you can tuck into some seriously tasty pub grub without breaking the bank, and they've got deals that make it even more appealing for a casual meet-up. The staff really stand out too – folks like Fin and Valerie seem to go the extra mile, creating a happy, fun atmosphere that keeps everyone coming back. Plus, with options for all sorts of dietary needs and live sports on the telly, it's a versatile place for groups or solo visits. On the flip side, though, the kitchen shuts a bit early, so if you're after a bite late in the evening, you might be out of luck. And on those bustling event days, it can get a bit crowded, which might not be everyone's cup of tea if you're seeking a peaceful corner. Overall, it's a solid choice for us pub enthusiasts – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the minor niggles!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant, with that classic Scouse charm that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
Prices are spot on for a good night out – you can get cracking deals on pints and meals, like two courses for under a tenner, which is a real winner.
-
The staff are top-notch, always friendly and helpful, making every visit feel welcoming and personal.
-
Food options are fantastic, with plenty of classics done well, plus thoughtful choices for gluten-free, vegan, and more, all tasting spot on.
-
It's a great spot for catching live sports, with events like the Women's Euros on the big screen, and they've got a beer garden and other amenities to boot.
Cons
-
The serving hours wrap up a bit early, around 9pm most days, so it might not suit those looking for a late-night session.
-
It can get quite busy during big events or on weekends, which might make it a tad tricky to find a seat or enjoy a quiet chat.

best food best deals and best prices!!! always such a happy fun atmosphere and all the staff did an amazing job on paddy’s day. was greatly appreciated and the manager is the loveliest :)
Very nice and cosy place we randomly found while exploring the city. Everyone we met from the team was super nice and friendly. The food is at unbelievably good prices and all very tasty. There are options for everyone, Gluten-free menu, vegan option, etc. The steak we ordered was delicious and perfectly cooked. They also have big selection of drinks, cocktails and beer. Definitely recommend!
Met with friends here for a lovely lunch together... Ok, we are OAPs but where else could you get a 2 course meal for £6.49? Good selection of draught beers. Food was very nice and service so friendly and helpful. Nice relaxed atmosphere with a variety of seating areas. Pay these lovely people a visit, you won't be disappointed!
