About This Pub

Ah, Brookhouse in Liverpool – what a spot it is for a proper night out! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with this warm, welcoming vibe that's just perfect for catching up with friends over a pint or two. They've nailed the entertainment side of things, with quiz nights that had me in stitches and a lineup of sports on the telly that keeps the energy high – it's one of those places where you can easily lose track of time. The food's a winner too; think hearty pub classics and fresh pizzas that hit the spot without breaking the bank, especially with those unbeatable cocktail deals. And let's not forget the beer garden – it's a lovely spot for a sunny afternoon, and being dog-friendly adds a nice touch for us animal lovers. On the flip side, though, it does get a bit lively at times, which might mean the odd drink gets knocked over in the hustle, or the music doesn't always suit everyone's taste – that quirky quiz host Ewan seems to be a hit, but it's not for the faint-hearted! Still, if you're up for a good laugh and don't mind a bit of bustle, it's well worth a visit. All in all, it's a solid choice for students or anyone after an affordable, entertaining evening, but maybe give it a swerve if you're seeking somewhere dead quiet.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing, especially with all the events like quiz nights and live DJs – it's a proper laugh with friends!
  • They've got a cracking beer garden and it's dog-friendly, making it perfect for a sunny day out with your furry mate.
  • Loads of affordable options on the menu, from classic pub grub to pizzas, and don't miss the 2-4-1 cocktails that go down a treat.
  • Brilliant for sports fans with HD screens showing everything from footy to rugby, so you won't miss a moment of the action.
  • Student nights and deals make it a welcoming spot for those on a budget, with plenty of reasons to pop in mid-week.
Cons
  • It can get a bit chaotic during busy events, like when drinks end up spilled, which might put off anyone after a more relaxed vibe.
  • Some of the entertainment, like the music choices, might not hit the mark for everyone – it's fun, but could feel a tad hit-or-miss.
  • As it's so popular, you might have to queue or struggle for a seat on peak nights, which isn't ideal if you're after a quick pint.

Had a great scran of your meat tonight 😝💦 complimented by Ewan’s stimulating vocals. Place to be when you’re looking for a few pints and a great laugh 😘 highly recommend on a Monday night to test your quiz knowledge 😏

Amazing quiz, changed my life. Gonna name my child after Ewan!! The drinks were refreshing (drink got knocked over, but I imagined it tastes amazing), think I'm gonna abandon my degree and become a quiz master!!!!!

Stumbled in here by accident after a long hard days work down pit Met a lovely lady called Tracy. Would really like her number. Is she single? I could be your step dad Ewan, not the step father, the father who stepped up. Once chance Tracy, please.

I had a great experience at the Brookhouse tonight. I was sat out the front when what I thought to be a homeless man stumbled past. He was dressed in an old tracksuit and had a noticeable scent of dog urine following him. He came over and introduced himself and it was Ewan, back from a night out, ready to get started hosting the pub quiz. I was fully impressed with his dedication.
