About This Pub

Ah, the Whippet Inn – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem in London. From the reviews I've had a look at, folks are raving about the food; the Sunday roast comes highly recommended, with people loving the beef and those tasty sides like cauliflower and cheese. The fish dishes are spot on too, cooked just right and full of flavour. And let's not forget the service – the team, including lovely staff like Elisabetta and Maddie, are always on hand, checking in and making sure everything's just as it should be, even sorting out the best tables or whipping up a real Italian coffee to finish off. The atmosphere is just right for a casual get-together, with that pub charm that makes you feel at home. On the flip side, it's not all perfect; a few mentioned that the vegetarian meatloaf didn't quite hit the mark for their group, and there were grumbles about the beef being undercooked for some tastes. Still, with an overall rating pushing 4.5, it's clear this spot does a lot more right than wrong, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a solid meal and a good chat over drinks.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on, with standout dishes like the Sunday roast and fresh fish that leave you wanting more.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure you're well looked after.
  • It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a pint or a meal with mates in a relaxed setting.
Cons
  • Some menu items might not appeal to everyone, like the vegetarian options that one group found a bit unusual, or dishes that could be cooked to different preferences.

my food was delicious but most of my party did not like their things. I think mostly the vegetarian meatloaf was weird to them and the beef was under cooked to them anyway we had a great time I loved my sea bass though .

I went there with my husband for Sunday roast, we both chose the beef one and Elisabetta suggested to add the cauliflower and cheese on the side! Everything was delicious! Staff is very friendly and Elisabetta booked for us the best table, she made a real Italian coffee at the end for the meal too!! Grazie mille!

This is our favourite local pub for food and drinks. We took our family who’s visiting from overseas here for Sunday roast. They absolutely loved it, food was highly commendable! Maddie is lovely, constantly checking on us and making sure we receive the best service.
