About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about Waterside Bar & Grill – it's one of those places that just warms your heart from the moment you step in. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars, always cheerful and ready to help, whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for the evening. The food gets top marks too; it's all homemade and fresh, with folks raving about the carvery and menu choices that leave you feeling satisfied without any fuss. And it's so family-oriented – imagine tucking into your meal while keeping an eye on the kids playing outside, or bringing your dog along for the adventure. The seaside location adds a lovely touch, making it perfect for a sunny day out in that peaceful village setting. On the flip side, though, it's a bit quiet lately with no recent reviews to speak of, which might mean it's not drawing the crowds it deserves. Plus, without a website, it's not the easiest to plan a visit, and being tucked away in a small spot could make it feel a bit off the beaten path. All in all, if you're after a relaxed, honest pub experience with great vibes and good value, it's worth checking out – just keep in mind it might not be the most buzzing place right now.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make you feel right at home.
-
The food is spot on – homemade and fresh, with options that hit the spot whether you're opting for the carvery or something from the menu.
-
It's a brilliant spot for families and dog owners, with a child-friendly vibe and an outdoor play area you can keep an eye on from your table.
-
The location is just lovely, right by the sea in a peaceful village, making it ideal for a relaxing day out or a casual meal.
-
Prices are reasonable, so you can enjoy a good meal without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
There haven't been many recent reviews, which might mean it's a bit quieter these days and not as buzzing as it could be.
-
No website or online presence makes it tricky to get the latest info or book ahead, so you might have to just turn up and hope for the best.
-
Being in a small village, it could feel a tad out of the way if you're not local, and the name might have changed recently, adding to the confusion.

Playing a gps game took me to this small village and I parked in this hotel/restaurant carpark. Got permission from the reciption/bar staff, who was really friendly. Had a walk around the village while playing the gps game and it's a really lovely place.
When I was done I stopped again by the restaurant and sat down to a meal. Decent chips, and a good sized gammon steak. Was a very nice meal. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. I will likely get a meal there again if in the area. Reasonable price too (well ok the coffee was a bit pricy, but that seems common these days, the foosld was a reasonable price and that's the main thing)
Great food, all homemade. Staff very friendly and accommodating. A little hidden gem.
This venue is now called Coast Bar and Grill and it looks like it's had a complete revamp. Lovely location, tastefully decorated, great food and great service. Highly recommended for a meal, especially if you're with young children because there's a play area just outside that is visible from the eating area.
Very relaxing restaurant. No one hurries you. Child friendly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bright and light!! Near the sea and outdoor play park lovely in the summer to sit outside while children play. And you can see them! Food very good. Choose from carvery or from menu reasonable priced. Easy parking. Large carpark.
Absolutely amazing place. We booked a weekend break away in Corton and wanted somewhere to have a bite to eat and a drink. We have a dog so wanted somewhere
dog friendly. Messaged this company they are so friendly and helpful. We had food this was hot lovely fresh perfect even when we asked for a special order that was not on the menu. Burger is home made so are the onions rings. Staff are soo friendly helpful. The venue is clean. Live entertainment. We have been back again already as ite a lovely venue to visit. Child and dog friendly. Wish we had somewhere like this where we live. Thank you for a lovely couple of evenings.
