About This Pub
Ah, The Foxburrow Beefeater – it's one of those places that feels like a trusty old mate for a bite in Lowestoft. From what I've gathered, the food really shines through, with fresh-cooked breakfasts that have loads of choices, including vegan and gluten-free options, and they're not shy about specials like steaks or those budget-friendly lunch deals under £8. It's brilliant for families too, with perks like kids eating free, which takes the sting out of dining out. The atmosphere is clean and relaxed, and there's plenty of parking, so you can just roll up without a fuss. On the flip side, though, service isn't always top-notch; some folks have mentioned a few staff members who aren't as warm or efficient, leading to mixed experiences that might put a dampener on things. Overall, it's a solid pick if you're after good value and tasty meals, but keep in mind it might not wow you every single time – still, I'd say it's worth a try for a casual get-together with mates or a family outing.

Cons
-
Service can be a bit hit or miss, with some staff members being less engaging or helpful, which might leave you feeling a tad underwhelmed on certain visits.
-
There have been a few reports of inconsistent experiences, like with breakfasts not always living up to expectations, so it might not be perfect every time you go.
-
While the deals are great, the overall vibe could feel a little ordinary if you're after something more upscale or unique.

I have eaten breakfast at this restaurant several times now and have had a couple of good experiences, however I've also had some very poor experiences.
There is one young brunette girl who is very nice and cheerful and clearly understands customer service. There is a middle aged blonde lady and young chap who don't. They get the order wrong, boiled eggs were either totally liquid inside or turning grey / green overdone. No teaspoon to eat the boiled egg nor an egg cup - served scolding hot.. still boiling by time I'd eaten everything else, I didn't even bother to eat one in the end. Continental selection was bare but no apology - just an attitude of 'tough sh.. luck'. Never asked once how our meal was (even when paying) and were otherwise hiding away so I had no chance to tell them and they're just abrasive and unpleasant to be honest.
If you come on certain days where it's even slightly busy (and perhaps a different chef?) you will find yourself paying £11 for a standard breakfast that you'd get much cheaper elsewhere since the continental is all out of stock.
IF you're lucky enough to arrive on a quiet morning and get served by the brunette ladies you'll probably have a pleasant meal.. otherwise do yourself a favour and leave.
Great place for a cheap breakfast. All you can eat, lots of options...gluten free and vegan. Up to 2 kids eat free with each paying adult. Highly recommended
Had breakfast here after a night in the Premier inn (which was also perfect). The breakfast was spot on. Cooked fresh, plenty of choice and as much as you want!! I couldnt of cooked it better myself. Compliments to the chef. Good quality ingredients. Thanks 👍
Very good value meals even GF menu had some of the specials on it. I even had a gf dessert, staff very helpful . In the photos only the banoffee cheesecake was gf .
Lovely restaurant, lots of parking, clean, good service & amazing food! Steak highly recommended!
They asked about allergies as soon as we arrived and provided the allergen menu.
When ordering, we were asked who had the allergy to ensure food was cooked separately. Very impressed!
Although, I would recommend adding more gluten free options to the menu as they were very limited.
