About This Pub

Oh, mate, let me tell you about Two More Years – it's one of those hidden spots in Hackney Wick that just hits the mark for a laid-back afternoon or evening out. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its relaxing atmosphere; imagine sipping on a cold Purity lager or a sweet Saxby's blackcurrant cider while soaking up the sun on that floating terrace by the canal – it's pure bliss, especially if you're into watching the world go by with a bit of street art nearby. The food's another winner; those Lucky Chip burgers are spot on, with options that cater to all tastes, and it's open bright and early, which is a rarity and makes it ideal for everything from a quick coffee to a full day of work or catching some live music on Thursdays. The staff seem like absolute legends, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after. But, on the flip side, it's a bit of a shame that it's closed at the moment due to that bridge problem, so you might need to plan around that or use the alternative route they've suggested. And while the location's got that cool, edgy feel, it can be a bit out of the way if you're coming from further afield, so it's not the easiest spot to nip to on a whim. All in all, it's a solid choice for a proper pub experience – just keep an eye on their status, and you'll have a top-notch time when you do go.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's so relaxing and welcoming, especially with that lovely outdoor seating by the canal where you can unwind and watch the swans glide by.
  • They've got a cracking selection of beers, ciders, and wines on tap, plus those tasty Lucky Chip burgers that folks rave about, like the El Chapo one – perfect for a casual bite.
  • It's open early from 9am, which is brilliant if you're looking for a place to pop in for a quick drink, get some work done, or even catch live events on Thursdays.
  • The staff are dead friendly and make you feel right at home, adding to that community vibe in Hackney Wick.
Cons
  • It's currently closed due to a bridge issue, which means you might have to wait or find an alternative route, putting a bit of a dampener on spontaneous visits.
  • The location in Fish Island could be a tad tricky to get to if you're not familiar with the area, as it's a bit off the beaten path.

Relaxing atmosphere and should be one of your favourite spots. This place is a must if you're in Hackey Wick. The burgers are tasty, El Chapo burger is my fav. Saxby’s blackcurrant cider is also yummy, if you like sweet ciders! The one thing I love most about this place is the outdoor sitting, especially when the sun is out - bliss 😍

A great place for both casual drinks/food and daytime work, open from 9am until late—rare for the area. They have an excellent selection of beers (like Purity lager), local stout, and natural wine on tap, plus a great menu of Lucky Chip burgers. Thursdays are the best time to go there to catch the 2-for-1 drinks and cheaper burgers deal. It’s a lively place before West Ham matches (It gets busy, so tourists should take note). It’s dog-friendly, with a relaxed vibe and a young crowd, but still welcoming to everyone. The music is usually at a good level until some weekend evenings when theres a DJ. Only thing that marks it down slightly is the staff’s friendliness can be hit or miss, and the tipping function on the terminal is a pet peeve of mine. Overall, a solid choice for working, socialising, or grabbing drinks in East London in a very relaxed and trendy location.

A real gem of a place. Came across it whilst exploring the Hackney Wick area. Was following the colourful street art and ended up being directed here. Friendly bar staff with a good choice of beers drunk on the floating terrace on the canal. Very relaxing watching the swans. We visited at 11am on a weekday so unfortunately there was no food on offer. The food offer was available from 5pm . The Place also hosts some artists in residence. Will definitely return. @MyBucketListAt60

Update 11/22 They have a new kitchen in and they are doing really good burgers its called Lucky Chip. This place is wicked, big open and airy. The staff are so nice and they have my favourite wine on tap! This place is already a staple of the wick, can't wait to get down here more often. They have recently opened a jerk chicken place in here and it is great, its a little pricey at £13.50 but you get a decent portion and it tastes great.
