About This Pub

Ah, Traders Taphouse – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local hideaway in Chorley. From what I've gathered, it's got this multi-room layout that's dead cosy, with a rear patio that's brilliant for soaking up the sun on a nice day. The staff are really approachable and make you feel right at home, which is always a plus when you're out for a pint. I hear the Forged Irish Stout is a winner, and they've got a real cider too, so if you're into those, you're in for a treat. Plus, there's a games room with pool and darts, which could turn into a fun evening with friends. On the flip side, it's a shame they've dropped the real ale, as that might put off a few folks who prefer the traditional stuff. And with not many reviews floating about, it's still finding its feet, so it might not be the liveliest spot every time. All in all, if you're in the area and fancy a relaxed drink without the crowds, it's worth popping in – just keep an eye out for those opening times, as details are a bit scarce.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, with a multi-room setup that makes it feel cosy and inviting
  • Friendly bar staff who create a great vibe, perfect for a relaxed chat with mates
  • They've got a cracking Forged Irish Stout and a real cider on offer, which hit the spot for a good pint
  • Outdoor rear patio is a nice touch for enjoying a drink in the fresh air when the weather's on your side
  • Games room with pool and darts adds a fun element, ideal for a casual night out
Cons
  • No real ale available anymore, which might disappoint if that's what you're after
  • Not much info on operating hours, so you might have to check ahead to avoid a wasted trip
  • Only a few reviews out there, so it's still a bit of an unknown quantity and might not be buzzing every night
  • The business doesn't seem to have a website or much online presence, making it trickier to get the lowdown before visiting

Making my first visit to this pub. Casta warned me that they no longer serve real ale. It is a lovely multi room pub with a rear patio. Had a pint of Forged Irish Stout. My first ever. Really good. They do have one real cider. Friendly bar. Couple of TV's and a games room with pool and darts. Would be one of my top pubs if they had real ale. They sell pies. There is a function room for hire.
