About This Pub
Ah, the Three Horseshoes in Morley is one of those pubs that really warms the cockles of your heart; it's got that proper English pub charm without trying too hard. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real highlight – think mouthwatering Sunday lunches with lashings of gravy, divine desserts like rhubarb and apple crumble, and even impromptu treats like fresh chips if you're lucky. The team behind the bar are an absolute delight, always up for a natter and quick to sort you out, which makes the whole experience feel personal and inviting. Plus, with the beer garden offering a spot to soak up the fresh air and catch some sports action, it's brilliant for a sunny afternoon or a casual evening. On the flip side, the decor does feel a tad old-school, like it hasn't had a freshen-up in a while, but honestly, that just adds to the nostalgic appeal for me. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a place to relax with mates or family, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for the good vibes and great grub – just keep an eye on the weather for that garden!

Turned up without a booking to try and grab a bite to eat. However, as they were busy with a large table, we were initially told they would not be serving any walk-ins. We were content and ordered a drink anyway, but to our surprise the chef informed us that he would serve us food after all.
This in itself was great service but then the great food on top was the icing on the cake. All in all a great experience and we fully recommend. Will be back soon.
Cheers
Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch. Tasty, lovely presentation and plentiful. The most beautiful gravy. We also had dessert. The rhubarb and apple crumble and the honeycomb cheese cake were divine. It's clean, the decor is a little dated but the staff are very polite and I would definitely recommend here for food.
Nestled in the charming village of Morley, Derbyshire, this country pub offers a delightful dining experience with its cosy atmosphere, complete with a welcoming open fire. The friendly staff add to the charm, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. A particularly nice touch is the chef personally coming out to check if your meal meets expectations—a gesture that adds a genuine sense of care and attention to detail.
The food is a standout, with hearty dishes that reflect the best of British pub fare. The lamb shank was beautifully tender, served with creamy parsnip mash and crisp parsnip garnish. Accompanied by roasted vegetables and a rich, flavoursome gravy au jus, it was a dish that ticked all the boxes for a comforting, satisfying meal.
The crispy belly pork was equally impressive, with perfectly cooked meat that was melt-in-the-mouth on the inside and deliciously crisp on the outside. Served with mash potato, roasted vegetables, and a cider gravy, it was a well-balanced dish full of flavour.
This pub offers a lovely mix of rustic charm, quality food, and attentive service—making it a great spot for a cosy meal in the countryside. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a visit!
We popped into this pub looking to watch a football match and had the pleasure of chatting to the new proprietor, Graeme. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and such a fantastic chef! The kitchen was closed but insisted on making us a chips when we asked if they were still serving food. The chips that emerged were the BEST chips I’ve ever had, with the perfect texture, flavor, and covered in delicious Maldron sea salt. I can’t say enough good things about this magical pub!
