But, fair's fair, I've heard a few tales of grubby glasses that could do with a better clean, and the loos without locks might make you think twice about lingering. Still, with all that going for it, I'd say it's well worth popping in for a bite and a bevvy, as long as you keep those minor gripes in mind.

Went to the sitwell tonight with some friends. Everyone's glasses were beyond dirty, one had lipstick ingrained on it, another had what looked like dead lip skin on it, the other 2 glasses were just as bad. I went to the toilet, no locks on any of the doors which makes me nervous. My family have all been here many times over the years and said its a good place to go but after my first impressions I will not be going back. Non of us finished our drinks tonight having seen the state of the glasses so we left and found somewhere else.

This pub had been recommended to us for Sunday lunch so we booked and werent disappointed. Turkey was plentiful, my partner had pork which was great, the veg was also excellent and the staff were very friendly and polite. We will be back soon.

A friendly pub with plenty of outdoor seating, a nice children's play area and a good size car park. The food was hot and tasty and the service was great. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely lovely meal! Proper homemade chips was gorgeous. Bar staff was so helpful when it come to adapting my order to what I wanted & helped with every request. Both bar ladies made us feel very welcome & we look forward to returning. Ps.. pie night is not one to be missed! (Nor are the Indian style topped fries) massive portions & great beers ✌🏼

Found this rural pub today by accident. My wife and I were on a ramble and as we came off a footpath there it was. We stopped for a drink and lunch and found what they had to offer. Good food, friendly staff, great ales, large car park, function room for large events and even a play area for children. We have booked already for a party of ten and will be coming back for my wife's birthday. Try this lovely rural pub and you will not be disappointed
