About This Pub
Ah, The White Swan – what a gem in the heart of Birmingham's Digbeth! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this wonderful old-school feel that's been beautifully brought back to life, with folks raving about the lively atmosphere and the genuinely friendly faces behind the bar. It's perfect for popping in after a match or just for a relaxed chat over a pint, and they've clearly put in the effort to offer some cracking beers that cater to all tastes. That said, it's not all smooth sailing; it seems like there was a rough patch with a reduced selection of drinks after a closure, which might leave you wanting more variety on some visits. Overall, though, it's a solid choice if you're after that authentic pub experience – I'd say give it a go and see for yourself, as the positives really shine through in the high ratings.

-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming; they'll even help you pick out a beer if you're not sure what to go for.
-
They've got a solid selection of real ales and craft beers, making it a treat for anyone who appreciates a good pint in a beautifully restored Victorian setting.
-
It's heartening to see this classic Brum pub getting the love it deserves, with a community spirit that's kept it going strong.
Cons
-
The beer range has been a bit reduced since it reopened, so you might not find as many options as you'd hope for.
-
It had a spell of being closed, which could mean things aren't always as consistent as they'd like to be.

Found 5his lovely little pub yesterday after watching the footy great atmosphere and nice friendly staff
New landlord Alan is making a real difference here, regular opening hours, tight selection of good beers, and a friendly welcome. We came back after many years away, and glad we did. So heartening to see a classic Victorian pub and Brum stalwart getting the love it deserves. Sounds like there are good plans for sports screens and tasty food over the next year or so. Support your proper local pub and come for a session!! 😃
The whole area is changing dramatically, but this lovely old pub was saved by community action and refurbished. Beautiful wood & glass interior. It closed for a while in 2023 and had now reopened with a reduced range of beers. Hopefully its future is secure.
So glad a friend took us here, it's been really well restored, rescued from demolition and returned to being a lovely 'local' with a great selection on tap! Lovely staff help you decide what to try if you're not familiar with some of the brews on offer. Definitely worth a stop!
Refurbishment and redevelopment done very well. 6 real ales on when we visited and maybe 4 keg craft beers and an assortment of cans. All of which within a Victorian traditional styled pub, yet very clean. Will be back.
