About This Pub
Ah, The Wheatsheaf – what a gem of a pub it is, tucked away in the heart of Braunston. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, community-driven feel that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The staff sound absolutely lovely, always ready with a smile and a chat, which really adds to the homely vibe. You've got a solid choice of real ales and other drinks at prices that won't break the bank, and it's brilliant for those who fancy a bit of entertainment – think live music nights, watching the big games on the TVs, or having a go at pool or darts. It's even dog-friendly with outdoor seating, so if you're out for a stroll, it's an easy stop-off. On the flip side, the hours do look a bit muddled, which might catch you out if you're trying to pop in at a specific time. Plus, while the drinks are spot on, there doesn't seem to be much buzz about the food, so you might end up just sticking to pints rather than a full meal. All in all, it's a top spot for a laid-back catch-up with mates, and with such high ratings, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep those little niggles in mind for a smoother experience.

Great beer, great atmosphere and fantastic staff.
Really welcoming and friendly with plenty of TVs for all the major sporting action, a pool table, skittles table and darts board.
Always something going on and regular live music.
My husband and I visited this pub when we walked to the village shops.
We enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of days later
with our four dogs.
They were made welcome, too.
Good choice of ales 🍺

Got to be one of the cleanest pubs I have been in.
We will go back again before we move on.
