About This Pub
Ah, The Wellington Bar – it's one of those unassuming pubs in Paisley that really grows on you once you step inside. I have to say, the staff are an absolute highlight; they're full of fun, super knowledgeable about all the drinks on offer, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome, just like chatting with old mates. Whether it's grabbing a fresh pint or exploring their extensive wine list, the prices are spot on for keeping things inexpensive without skimping on quality. Plus, they've got these great little activities like chess club, book club, or even karaoke and darts nights, which add a nice touch if you're in the mood for something beyond just a quiet drink. On the flip side, though, it's cash only, so you'll need to sort that out before you go, as the nearest cash point is a bit of a trek. The place can feel a tad dark and cramped too, with not much space to spread out, and it doesn't always have a crowd, which might make it seem a smidge underwhelming on quieter evenings. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back night if you fancy good value and friendly service, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea for a lively outing.

Cash only and nearest bank machine is the cross. Very tightly squeezed little room without people bumping into you
Dark and dingy. Music on TV was good. Tables clean but few customers and very disappointing. Won't hurry back.

The extensive wine list was second to none, I was tempted to join their chess club or the book club and try to go more regularly,
The barstaff were full of fun and were very knowledgable of all the alcohol on the premises, the taste the strength of it all, it was as if the had many years of experience with alcohol , 10 out of 10 for me the locals were friendly enough also.
