About This Pub

You know, I recently had a go at the Tea Gardens Tavern in Paisley, and it's one of those spots that really grows on you. The staff are absolute stars – always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, just like you're catching up with old mates. The atmosphere is spot on for a good laugh, whether it's cheering on a match or joining in with some karaoke, and the drinks won't set you back too much, which is always a plus. From what I've seen in the reviews, folks love it for family outings or a quick pint, like that one reviewer who had a lovely Christmas Day there with their family. But, to be fair, it's not all roses; it can turn a bit boisterous with some folks letting loose a little too much, as one person mentioned feeling out of place among the crowd. Still, with a solid 4.1 rating overall, it's clear this place does a lot right, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're up for a proper pub experience – just keep in mind it might not be the quietest corner in town.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's got a lively, genial atmosphere that's perfect for casual meet-ups, watching the game, or even enjoying a bit of karaoke.
  • Drinks are fairly priced, so you can enjoy a pint without worrying about breaking the bank.
  • They're open seven days a week from 11 AM, which is brilliant for popping in whenever the mood strikes.
Cons
  • It can get a bit rowdy at times with some overly enthusiastic crowds, which might not be ideal if you're after a peaceful evening.
  • As a small bar, it can feel quite cramped when it's busy, making it tricky to find space or have a quiet chat.

Maybe it was Scotland missing a penalty and then unusually coming back and scoring rather than conceding a last minute winner? or the pleasant and efficient bar staff? Perhaps it was mixed and genial crowd of punters ? No it could have been the fair price of the ale? I will be back an all to rare and missed, 'back in day, Paisley local' ... Saying that the Scotland thing helped , I think you will agree..

Have you ever been the only non drunk at a party? This was me at this pub. In fairness I went there because there were a lot of drunks outside Manhattan's, maybe it was that sort of night. Anyway there was a 21st party on with a karaoke, they seemed to be enjoying themselves. This is a small bar only with a regular clientèle and usually friendly.
