About This Pub
Ah, The Bungalow – it's one of those hidden gems in Paisley that's become a go-to for anyone who loves a good night of live music. From what I've gathered from the reviews and the website, it's packed with tribute bands and gigs that really get the crowd going, like those Oasis or James tributes that folks rave about. The atmosphere sounds spot on, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home, and prices at the bar that don't sting too much, so you can kick back and enjoy without worrying about the tab. It's got this intimate feel too, where you're practically part of the show with that low stage setup. On the flip side, though, there was that one story about a disruptive visitor that put a damper on someone's evening – it's a reminder that crowds can sometimes get a bit carried away, especially at energetic events. And with the place not open every day, you might have to check the schedule in advance. All in all, if you're up for a lively night out with great music, I'd say give it a try; it's got that solid 4.6 rating for a reason, but just keep in mind it might not be your cup of tea for a mellow chat over drinks.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Bungalow is absolutely brilliant for live music and tribute bands – it's got that real buzz that makes every gig feel special.
-
The staff are super friendly and helpful, always adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
-
Bar prices are fair and won't break the bank, so you can enjoy a few drinks without feeling short-changed.
-
It's an intimate venue with a low stage, letting you get right up close to the action for a more personal experience.
Cons
-
There have been a few reports of rowdy behaviour from some visitors, which can spoil an otherwise great night out.
-
The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent, and it's not open every day, so you might need to plan around that.
-
While it's fantastic for gigs, it might not be the best spot if you're after a quiet pint – it's all about the lively events here.

This place is brillaint for tribute bands and giggs. I've had a couple of great nights here now. The Oasis and James bands were brilliant. I alsolso really admired the Mod artwork on the wall, that looked amazing 👏🏻
Great venue for music,, good staff and friendly and
Great nite in the bungalow me & the wife go every year too the marley experience highly recommended this venue
Went with my wife to see Hells Bells, great band and special for us as we met at one of their gigs but our night was spoiled after only three songs by a bullying aggressive member of the audience who kept bumping me deliberately in the back to provoke me. When I turned around without saying anything I received verbal abuse. I looked around for security staff but there were none inside. We immediately left and reported it to the security guy at the door who was obviously not very interested. His friend who had been talking to him interjected and provided us with the benefit of his superior wisdom by suggesting that the guy was drunk (as though that made it acceptable, not that he was). All we got from the security guy was a lukewarm apology, he made no attempt to go inside and speak to the troublemaker. Earlier in the night we witnessed a bolshy couple sitting down on reserved seats right beside us then refusing to move when a staff member spoke to them, following which the staff member just have up and wandered away. When the crowd of guys who had reserved the seats arrived an arguement started which upset my wife so we got up and stood away, then the bolshy couple simply moved into the seats we had just vacated. If there's no obvious internal effective security presence then there's bound to be trouble like this. Very disappointing as it's otherwise a nice venue. We won't ever be back.
Great wee venue for live music. Low stage you can get up close. Bar prices are fair so you don't feel a though you are being ripped off. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Yhe usual plastic glasses stuff but at a venue with bands perfectly understandable. Over a great place for a wee night out.
