About This Pub

Ah, The Tommy Tucker – it's one of those Fulham gems that I've been hearing great things about from folks who've popped in for a bite. From what I've gathered, the food really steals the show; their Sunday roasts are apparently exceptional, with rave reviews about the quality and flavours that leave you feeling chuffed. Pair that with the super-friendly staff who go out of their way to make everything personal and professional, and you've got a spot that's perfect for a laid-back lunch or a lively evening. The recent makeover has given it this lovely blend of traditional pub charm and modern tweaks, making it feel warm and homely without losing that authentic feel. Plus, if you're planning a get-together, they've got some brilliant options for private events, whether it's a small family bash or a bigger celebration – it's all about creating memorable moments. On the downside, it's not flawless; a few people have had less than stellar experiences, like dealing with fatty cuts of meat or a drink that didn't quite hit the mark, which can be a bit of a letdown when you've built up expectations. Overall, though, it's worth giving it a go – especially for a Sunday session – as long as you keep in mind that, like any pub, it might vary day to day. I'd say it's a solid choice for a good night out, balancing the highs and lows in a way that keeps things real and relatable.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot-on, especially their Sunday roasts – I've heard from a few mates that they're some of the best around, with top-quality ingredients and generous portions.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in; it's that personal touch that really adds to the experience.
  • It's great value for money, particularly if you're booking for a group with a set menu – perfect for a casual catch-up without breaking the bank.
  • The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with a clever mix of old-school charm and modern comforts after their recent makeover; it's just the right spot for a relaxed evening.
  • They've got versatile spaces for private events, from intimate gatherings to larger dos up to 120 people, making it ideal for birthdays, reunions, or even work get-togethers.
Cons
  • Some dishes can be hit or miss, like one person mentioned their steak had way too much fat, which put a dampener on an otherwise good meal.
  • There have been a few off experiences, such as a disappointing drink or service slip-up that left someone feeling let down on what should have been a nice visit.
  • It might not always live up to the hype; recent feedback shows a bit of inconsistency, so you could have a brilliant time one day and a mediocre one the next.

Popped in on the off- chance for Mother’s Day Sunday lunch and had what can only be described as the most exceptional Sunday roast - ever! The quality of the food was first rate (the best roast I’ve ever had in a restaurant) and the service was first class - personal yet professional. Very grateful to find somewhere I feel I could recommend to friends with confidence. Chilled Sunday vibes adding to the overall experience. 🙏

I like to leave reviews on places if they are really good or really bad. Today’s experience, unfortunately was really bad! I came in to my local pub to get a chicken roast (as I have heard good things about this place and it is within walking distance from where I live). I was made a passion fruit martini that didn’t that tasted very weak given it cost me £11. I also didn’t get my prosecco as it stated on the menu until I asked for it. The lady that was serving me, was then very rude saying that they made a mistake on the menu and Prosecco would not normally be provided (that’s not my problem- I think you need to sort out your menu). Given the cocktail was not great, I told her I would like wine instead, and she mentioned that I couldn’t change the drink and would need to pay again. Later she then said that I could have the wine. She refused to give me the £1.50 that I paid extra for the cocktail. She brought the wine over and then she came back for the weak cocktail and the Prosecco that she left on my table. She didn’t say anything when taking it either. In addition to this, she never asked how the food was, given I paid over £15 for it. Just to let you know, the food was flavourless and not as good as it was described. I wouldn’t actually recommend this place to anyone either, I only came here because it is literally on my doorstep. I’m very disappointed in the service more than anything, and unlikely that I will be coming back. I would love to know where good quality customer service has disappeared to? Please do see the menu attached which states Passion Fruit Martini ( that mentions about the prosecco, which the lady didn’t give me initially). I felt like it was a waste of £30 to be honest. Just a slight edit: When I left the manager did say thank you, which shows he is respectful. However I went past the waitress and she completely ignored me- I think she needs to be retrained on her manners and customer service.

Great & friendly service. I was told how great the steak tastes, so I ordered it along with the sides. I was disappointed because the steak had a lot of fat. Apart from this, the meal was a great portion and filling. The meal came out quickly.
