About This Pub
Ah, Brook House in Fulham – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? I've heard from folks that the Sunday roasts are an absolute winner, with juicy meats, spot-on sides, and those chips that you can't stop nattering about. The atmosphere is spot on too, all warm and inviting, perfect for sinking into a booth with friends over a pint or a meal. It's dog-friendly, which is a nice touch if you're popping in with your furry mate, and they've got a good range of options for veggies as well. But, and I say this as a mate giving you the straight talk, the service can be a tad inconsistent – some servers are an absolute delight, while others might leave you wanting a bit more warmth. Oh, and do watch out if you're after the roasts; they've been known to sell out early, and the tables can feel a bit snug, making conversations tricky. Still, with that solid 4.4 rating, it's clear most people leave with a smile, so I'd say it's well worth a visit for a relaxed evening out, just maybe plan ahead to dodge any potential pitfalls.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Sunday roasts are absolutely spot on – think tender meats, perfectly cooked veggies, and those triple-cooked chips that are just divine.
-
It's got a really warm and cosy atmosphere, making it a lovely spot for a relaxed meal or a catch-up with mates.
-
Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming, adding to that homely feel, and it's great that they're dog-friendly too.
-
The food overall is top-notch, with options for vegetarians and a menu that changes daily to keep things fresh.
-
The decor is charming, especially during festive times like Christmas, and it's in a convenient spot in Fulham.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit hit or miss; some staff are super helpful, but others might come across as unhelpful or curt.
-
They sometimes run out of popular dishes like the roasts quite early, so it's worth booking ahead and checking.
-
A few tables are packed a bit too close together, which can make it hard to have a proper chat without eavesdropping on neighbours.
-
They're strict about not making changes to orders, like with the burgers, which might frustrate if you have specific preferences.
-
It's card only, and no high chairs available, so it might not be the easiest for families or those preferring cash.

Best Sunday roast in London, mid week food also very good but depends slightly who serves you. Some staff are extremely helpful and friendly and a couple seem like they want to be as unhelpful as possible. The food staff make me return. We were told we couldn't make any changes to a burger which I kind of get but it also seems quite rude and arrogant when someone asks for a simple item to be excluded from a burger. On some occasions they've allowed it and on others they wouldn't entertain it. Either way the atmosphere and food is exceptional and the best In the area by a long shot
We visited The Brook House for a Sunday roast and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the pub itself is clean, stylish, and modern. One thing to keep in mind—they had run out of all roasts by 6pm. While this was mentioned in the booking details, it’s worth noting for anyone planning to go; I’d definitely recommend heading there for lunch to avoid missing out.
We all ordered the beef roast, which was delicious and served in generous portions. The cauliflower cheese was delicious too! A great spot for a relaxed Sunday meal!
Love this place. Such a great atmosphere, really warm, cozy and cool at the same time. Went for the Sunday roast and thought it was fantastic - every element was done really well and I have no criticisms. Get the triple cooked chips as a side - they are pretty amazing!!
The Sunday roast was amazing, I had the chicken and my partner the lamb. There is a vegetarian option with cauliflower cheese too. The service was a little slow to start with but very friendly and the food came speedily. The sticky toffee pudding was incredible. I'd highly recommend.
Wonderful food, enjoyed in an excellent setting. Very well decorated for Christmas. We moved tables to be under the tree in the Center of the venue which was lovely. Some Of the tables with benches by the wall were a bit close together so it was hard to hear. The menu changes daily but we enjoyed the snacks, and for main we had scallops, bavette steak and stonefish. Would recommend.
