About This Pub
Ah, The Three Kings – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Twickenham, you know? I've heard from folks who've popped in that it's got this warm, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after a long day, with a great buzz on busier evenings. The drinks selection is brilliant, especially if you're into your ales and beers; it's all Cask Marque approved, so you can trust you're getting a quality pour every time. On the food front, they've got some real winners like those burgers – including vegan options, which is ace if you're catering for different tastes – and the linguine sounds like a solid choice for something lighter. Plus, the beer garden is a lovely spot to catch some fresh air, and with live music and big screens for sports, there's always something going on to keep things entertaining. That said, it's not flawless; a couple of people mentioned the roast beef being a bit chewy, and while portions are hearty, some sides like the cauliflower cheese didn't quite live up to expectations. Overall, though, it's a solid spot for a get-together, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep an eye on the opening times to avoid any surprises.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is spot on – it's a proper traditional pub with a lively vibe, especially on weekdays, making it a welcoming spot for a pint and a chat.
-
They've got a cracking selection of drinks, including a wide array of ales and beers, and it's Cask Marque approved, so you know the pints are top-notch.
-
Food-wise, the menu is a treat with tasty options like burgers (including vegan ones), linguine, and roasts – perfect for a bite before a match or just a casual meal.
-
There's a lovely beer garden and an all-weather terrace, ideal for enjoying a drink outside when the weather's playing nice.
-
It's family-friendly with live music and entertainment, plus big screens for catching the latest sports, which adds to the fun without overwhelming the space.
Cons
-
Some dishes could use a bit more finesse; for instance, the beef in the roast came across as a tad chewy in one go, which was a slight letdown.
-
Portions are generous, but not everything hits the mark – like the cauliflower cheese that might benefit from a touch more effort.
-
Opening hours vary a bit, so it's worth checking ahead if you're planning a visit, as it closes earlier on some days compared to others.

This is my first time in the Three Kings. It was pretty lively for a Wednesday. I had a nice pint of Timothy Taylor.

We often pop in for the best burgers in town. Including Vegan options. Love them and the pub is fairly relaxed so all in all a great little place. big TV screens with sport on, if that's your thing.
A great place to go pre-match at Twickenham.
I had linguine, was lovely, the tomatoes tasted great. Next time though I would order some garlic bread. Nice traditional pub decor.
Location is just on the edge of Twickenham town centre. Good pub ambience. There’s a nice all weather garden terrace which is great. Nice food menu with well thought-out selection of tantalising contemporary dishes and a wide array of ales and beers. I had the wild boar sausage served with creamy mash, green beans and lovely onion gravy. My lunch companion had the pan fried seabass served with green beans, lovely spring onions mashed potatoes. This was topped with white wine creamy sauce that had brown shrimps and chives. I must say the food was generally above average quality. The restaurant team and the waiting staff were extremely polite, eager to help and very cheerful.
Nice pub with a chilled atmos on a Sunday and music playing at the right volume level (loud enough to hear but without being an intrusion on conversation). If you're feeling hungry, you can have a three meat roast for just over £15. Portions were good. Beef a little chewy. Cauliflower cheese could have done with being less al dente and finished off in the oven to brown it. You can eat a medium-rare and thick burger here and but the hand-cut chips didn't seem to be hand-cut...? Personal preference is skin on tbh. Service was pleasant and the Cornish Orchards cider hit the spot.
