About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about the Eel Pie Club at The Patch – it's one of those places that just warms your heart if you're into live music, especially the blues and rock scene. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the evenings are packed with incredible performances; think bands that bring back that golden era of music with tributes to the Rolling Stones or fresh takes on blues that get everyone tapping their feet. It's got this lovely, intimate feel above a decent pub, where you can soak in the history and enjoy a night that feels like a step back in time, all while sipping on a drink. On the flip side, though, it's a shame it's only open on Sundays, which means you have to plan around that if you're keen to catch a show – no impromptu visits here. And if you're not local, it might take a bit of effort to get to Twickenham, but trust me, once you're there, the music more than makes up for it. Overall, it's a solid spot for a memorable night out, blending the best of live tunes with a welcoming atmosphere, though you'd want to check those dates in advance to avoid disappointment.

-
It's got that warm, nostalgic vibe, harking back to the Eel Pie legacy from the 60s, making it a real treat for anyone who loves authentic blues and a bit of history with their pint.
-
The atmosphere is always buzzing and friendly, with excellent musicians that leave you humming tunes long after you've left.
-
Membership perks like discounted tickets make it feel like a welcoming club for regulars, adding a personal touch to the experience.
Cons
-
It's only open on Sundays from 8 PM to 11 PM, which can be a bit restrictive if you're hoping for a mid-week outing or a spontaneous visit.
-
The location in Twickenham might be a bit of a journey for those not in the area, potentially putting off folks from further afield.
-
With ticket prices starting around £15 to £18 (and more on the door), it could add up if you're planning to go regularly, especially without the member discount.

Saw Ben Waters, first seen over twenty years ago in a village hall in Dorset
Cracking live music venue above a very decent pub revives the Eel Pie legacy from the 60s with music inspired by the original venue on the island.
If you love blues - and you love authentic blues - and you know the history of blues playing in London - then you already know what this place is all about. Was there for Top Topham’s memorial gig and, despite the sad occasion, it was an evening he’d have been proud to take part in.
