About This Pub

Ah, the George in Twickenham – it's one of those cosy spots that really captures the heart of a good British pub, isn't it? From what I've gathered from chats with others who've been, the food stands out as a real winner; think delicious, freshly prepared dishes with seasonal British ingredients and those hearty Sunday roasts that leave you feeling chuffed. Pair that with the friendly staff who make every visit feel like catching up with old mates, and you've got a place that's just buzzing with a lively atmosphere, especially if you're there for the rugby or a casual meet-up. The drinks selection is spot on too, with a massive array of beers and wines that could keep you entertained for hours, and that beer garden sounds like the ideal spot for a relaxed afternoon when the weather's on your side. On the flip side, it's a bit of a downer that it's closed at the moment for some restoration work, but they're gearing up for a fresh start under new family ownership, which is exciting. A couple of folks mentioned the music can be overwhelmingly loud, drowning out conversations, and it does lean towards the pricier end, so it might not be the go-to for a quick, cheap pint. All in all, once it's back up and running, I'd say it's well worth popping in for a balanced mix of good grub, great company, and that classic pub charm – just keep those points in mind for the full picture.

Really good Sunday lunch, the best in the area for the price. Friendly helpful staff. It’s easily my favourite first choice local pub for drinks, food and meeting friends.

A great pub, I went whilst visiting family in the area, the atmosphere was nice with lots of screens to watch the rugby, a very large selection of wines and spirits. The young man behind the bar Euan was fantastic and couldn't of been more helpful and welcoming. I will definitely be returning

Paid a quick visit late Friday night, luckily they were still serving food. Chose 5 of the small plates to share and some extra fries which were lovely, all washed down with a couple of large cokes! Fantastic service, fabulous food, shame about the really loud music everywhere, found it hard to actually have a conversation, but overall a lovely pub

George's restaurant in Twickenham is really good. The staff are helpful and the food is delicious. The place looks nice and is comfortable, perfect for any kind of get-together. Even though it's a bit pricey, it's worth it because you get excellent food and service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
