About This Pub
So, I've been having a look at The Swan Inn, and it's one of those places that just feels like a proper community hub – you know, the kind where you can relax with a pint and some mates. The food really steals the show; folks are going on about how tasty the meals are, from hearty roasts to all sorts of starters and desserts, and it's clear they've put effort into making it special for everyone. Plus, with events like their beer festival and regular quizzes, there's always something buzzing to get involved in, which adds to that warm, inclusive feel. On the downside, a few people have mentioned that service isn't always spot on – it can drag a bit or the team might seem a tad glum at times, which is a shame when you're hoping for that cheerful pub chat. And watch out for those seats by the door; they can get a bit nippy when folks are coming and going. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out, especially if you're after decent grub and a relaxed setting, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind to manage expectations.

Met friends for a Sunday lunch here.
Because it was quite a late booking we were not in the main area but in an alcove by the main door. This detracted a little from the atmosphere and it was rather breezy when anyone openend the do to enter or leave.
The food itself was pretty good but the vegetables, especially the cauliflower was undercooked. They either need to cook the veg more or provide sharper cutlery. The roast lamb was very good. The plates themselves were far too crowded. One of our group, when trying to cut into his cauliflower ended up with 1/3rd of his meal on the floor. So larger plates or maybe smaller portions.
All in all we did enjoy it and will certainly return
What an amazing pub. We have been eating in here for many years and have always had amazing service, food and atmosphere. Absolutely lovely team of staff.
Have eaten here three times. Excellent food no fault there. Waitress very glum and miserable. Even the table next to us commented. Service very slow today 21/2/25. Sadly won't eat here again.
An absolute fantastic place to drop by, espically for food. The family have come here quite often now. The service is always perfect. Atmosphere is always pleasant. Also is dog friendly,so feel free to bring the doggo along.
A very enjoyable experience, my pinot grigio mushrooms were excellent and a fantastic roast beef main meal followed by a Captain Morgan floater coffee to finish. Can't wait to go again in the summer to try out their Beer garden.
