About This Pub
Ah, The Cross Keys in Totternhoe – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered chatting about it, the vibe is spot on with staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home, and the food often steals the show with hearty options like a brilliant lamb shank or those moreish chips. It's got this lovely outdoor space with cracking views that make it perfect for a relaxed afternoon pint when the weather's playing ball. Plus, the online ordering is a neat touch for when you're in the mood for a takeaway roast without leaving the sofa. On the flip side, though, it's not all roses – parking can be a bit of a faff, especially if you're with a group, and things might take a tad longer to arrive if it's busy, which could put a dampener on things. A couple of folks have mentioned the grub feeling a bit plain or not quite worth the price, and it's a pity the outside area isn't more inviting on cooler days. All in all, it's a solid spot for a pint and a chat, but I'd say it's best for those who don't mind overlooking the odd imperfection – give it a go and see if it wins you over!

Plain. Tasteless. Way over priced. Won't be eating there again
Popped in after a hike. There were 15 of us. No parking at the pub for hiking but for people eating and drinking in the pub, which is fair enough as small village. The landlord kindly let us stay for a couple of hours to accommodate. The food took a while to come out, I guess due to the size of our party. 1 person serving and small bar so again took a while for us all to be served, but the staff were polite. I would return.
Nice little pub, although small inside it has a good sized outside area.
Marked 4/5 for food as only had chips, but they were lovely.
Amazing views outside but sadly it was a little too cold to sit, so we had to go inside. It would be great to have heaters and a more cozy seating outside. The staff were very friendly and we liked the food too, quite affordable.
Very friendly landlord.
We parked at the pub Sat AM and went on a circle walk. Visited with the landlord before leaving and he was very nice.
Stopped for lunch and a couple of pints.
Lamb shank was excellent as was the cask beer.
