About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Ship on The Shore – it's this gem of a seafood restaurant and champagne bar down in Leith, Edinburgh, and it's got that real authentic feel with its historic roots as a tavern by the port. I love how they focus on the freshest Scottish fish and seafood, all sustainably sourced and prepared with real passion; think succulent oysters and langoustine that just burst with flavour, paired with a cracking selection of champagnes and wines. The vibe is spot on too – whether you're soaking up the sun on the terrace or enjoying the atmospheric bar inside with its nautical decor, it's a proper cosy escape. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the staff are usually bang on for making your day special, like sorting out a birthday bash with a smile. But, fair play, it's not all smooth sailing; a few have mentioned the service feeling a tad rushed at times, which is a shame when you're trying to linger over a meal. And with it being a bit dear, it's probably best saved for when you fancy splashing out rather than a quick pint. All in all, if you're a seafood fan looking for a memorable spot, it's well worth a visit – just keep those expectations balanced and book ahead!

One of my new favorite things in the Edinburgh area of The Ship on the Shore! Loved my experience here this week! I'll be back... and I'll bring friends!
We went there to celebrate a birthday and everything was amazing. The food was excellent, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the nautical decor lovely.
Outstanding in every way. The food is superb and so excellently served. The atmosphere when you enter is very dramatic, moody lighting, very nautical themed! This is a must visit.
