About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Shanakee Colindale – it's one of those unpretentious Irish pubs that just hits the spot when you're in the mood for a proper pint and some easygoing company. From the reviews I've seen, folks absolutely rave about the friendly staff and the welcoming locals who make you feel like part of the gang straight away, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for the evening. It's got that cosy, traditional feel that's perfect for sinking into a chat or watching the footie on the telly, and the prices are fair enough that you won't feel short-changed on quality. On the flip side, it does lean towards being a no-frills spot for serious drinkers, so if you're hoping for a place with more variety in food or entertainment, it might not quite deliver. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back night out, especially if you're after that authentic Irish pub charm in London – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, but keep expectations realistic for a simple, enjoyable experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a great, cosy atmosphere perfect for chatting with locals or catching up with mates over a pint.
-
Prices are spot on for high-quality drinks, like a proper Guinness, without breaking the bank.
-
A solid spot for watching sports like football or racing on the TVs, adding to the lively vibe.
Cons
-
It comes across as a straightforward drinkers' pub, so it might not suit if you're after something more upscale or family-friendly.
-
With limited reviews out there, it could feel a bit under the radar, making it tricky to know what to expect if you're new to the area.

Called in on a Saturday at 6pm. Football on one TV, racing on the other. Friendly staff but a drinkers pub.
I had a very good time with my new friends Steven, Antony & Paul. Lovely talk 💕. Decent prices for high quality drinks.
Nice cosy place to have a Guinness or 6 😜 with friendly locals and barman/owner.
Popped in out of curiosity and was warmly welcomed. Friendly regulars, willing to move around so we had a seat. Very reasonable prices too.
Was here on Sunday night to meet a few of my mates from Ireland we had a class time, staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome , the atmosphere was savage and everyone was so welcoming to us all . Definately will return when I'm in London again
