About This Pub

Ah, The New Inn – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm, renovated interior and that unbeatable vibe that's hard to resist. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are the real stars here; they're incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home, whether you're just stopping by for a quick one or settling in for the evening. The place has had a lovely makeover, with an updated jukebox and a fresh back terrace that's ideal for a sunny afternoon, and it's in such a convenient spot that you could easily make it your go-to local. On the flip side, it's not without its downsides – some folks reckon it's a bit pricey for the neighbourhood, and there are hints that not every visit is perfect, like that one review where the drinks were spot on but the overall experience didn't quite live up to expectations. All in all, if you're after a proper pub with a good crowd and a relaxed feel, it's worth a try, but keep an eye on your wallet and go in with an open mind for a balanced night out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and really make you feel welcome, with their friendly chats and joyful vibes.
  • The atmosphere is spot on – it's got a great, lively feel that's perfect for unwinding after a long day.
  • They've done a fantastic job with the renovations; the updated jukebox and renewed back terrace add a nice touch.
  • It's in a brilliant location, easy to pop in for a quick pint, and there's even outdoor seating for when the weather's playing nice.
  • You can find well-priced drinks like a decent Guinness, which is always a win for a classic pub experience.
Cons
  • It can feel a bit overpriced for the area, which might put off those looking for a more budget-friendly night out.
  • There are occasional mixed experiences, like one chap who gave it a lower rating despite liking the drinks, suggesting not everything hits the mark every time.

I can’t score the cuisine, I didn’t eat, but the location is perfect, the atmosphere is heaven and the lady at the bar was the best

The pub has been renovated, the atmosphere inside is unmatchable and the staff are extremely friendly and joyful. I popped in just for an afterwork pint but I ended up staying for 3. The jukebox has been updated and the back terrace has also been renewed. Even though the pub had a makeover they done an outstanding job of keeping that old school touch to it. This really brings the feeling of nostalgia. I have now officially become a regular.

It's a little over priced for the area and venue. Good juke box though and plenty of tables inside. It also has a terrace upstairs which is good for the better weather coming up. A couple of seats out the front too. Bar staff are friendly. there is a piano that you can have a go on but people rarely do. It does not serve food, only nuts.
