About This Pub
Ah, The Shabby – what a lovely little spot it's turned out to be! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, buzzing atmosphere that just draws you in, with an intimate interior that's perfect for a relaxed evening. The staff really stand out; they're so friendly and accommodating, like when they sorted out separate sauces without any fuss – it's those little touches that make all the difference. And the food? Oh, it's brilliant – fresh, tasty, and with portions so generous you'll struggle to finish it all, as one reviewer mentioned ordering four plates for two and still being stuffed. The cocktails are a highlight too, adding to the fun without breaking the bank, given it's moderately priced. On the flip side, though, it's only open four days a week, which might put a dampener on plans if you're hoping for a mid-week pint or meal. Plus, the website's a bit of a letdown with errors popping up, and no phone number means you might have to rely on popping by or checking social media. All in all, it's a place I'd recommend for a great night out, but just keep those opening hours in mind to avoid disappointment. If you're in Carlisle, give it a go – you won't regret it!

First time trying this place. Great staff, catered to our requests regarding separate sauces for food. Food was beautiful, will definitely be back.
Excellent food , cracking atmosphere and friendly staff.
Definitely worth a visit.
We love this place. Been a few times now and the food does not disappoint. You get plenty in a portion, we ordered 4 plates between 2 of us, we were absolutely stuffed. The cocktails are really nice and although we couldn't fit one in, the puds looked amazing. Throughly recommend a visit here.
Intimate stylish interior, such a good atmosphere and buzz. Food & cocktails were fab, freshly prepared in front of you, great selection, amazing taste, we loved it. May have to have a bigger table next time to fit all our plates on! Food didn’t last long enough for photos!
Had a fantastic meal here with my wife. Visited based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Arrived earlier than our reservation but were seated immediately and without fuss; the staff were all very friendly.
Menu choice is very good, both food and drinks options should suit most people. Quality and quantity also very good for the price; we will definitely return if we're back I Carlisle.
