About This Pub

Ah, The Roebuck Inn – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoons pubs that you can pop into for a proper good time without spending a fortune. From the reviews I've had a look at, the staff really shine through; they're friendly and eager to help, which makes arriving with a group feel seamless and enjoyable. The food's a highlight too – think hearty portions that hit the spot, all at prices that leave you smiling. It's got that warm, inviting feel that's perfect for unwinding with mates over a drink. On the downside, though, there are moments when things slow down, like one chap mentioning a long wait for drinks that left him a bit frustrated, and it can get bustling, so you might not always snag a serene corner. All in all, it's a solid pick for anyone in Nottingham looking for an affordable night out, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – the good bits far outweigh the niggles, in my book.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make you feel at home.
  • Prices are spot on – it's a budget-friendly spot for a pint and a bite without breaking the bank.
  • The food is tasty with generous portions, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal.
  • There's plenty of seating, ideal for groups or just settling in for a relaxed chat.
  • The atmosphere is warm and cosy, especially in the bar area, giving it that classic pub vibe.
Cons
  • Service can sometimes drag, like waiting ages for drinks when it's busy, which puts a damper on things.
  • It might get quite crowded, making it tricky to find a quiet spot for a peaceful drink.

We popped into The Roebuck Inn yesterday evening as a group of eight and had a really lovely time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming and happy to help get us all seated together. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The bar area was clean and had a warm, cosy feel to it. We started with a round of drinks, and the beer was properly cold, which is always a good sign. There was a decent choice behind the bar, and everything was served quickly with a smile. The food was just as good. Everyone in the group was happy with their meal. It was hot, tasty and well presented. Proper pub food at sensible prices, with generous portions that didn’t disappoint. Even though we were quite a big group, the staff looked after us really well and made sure we had everything we needed without being over the top. All in all, it was a great evening. Relaxed, good value and just a nice place to spend time. We’ll definitely be back.

Visited here on the 29/3/25. Started here for some food and drinks to commence the day drinking in Nottingham. This place has ample seating, and the service was very quick. Food was perfect and, as always, reasonably priced.

I was treated to this delicious Mother's Day lunch this past Sunday. The food was great, really good portions and beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Would definitely visit again.

Ok so here is my review as of right now !! It’s Friday at 17:30PM so far we have waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, told be one member of staff our table was In the way , how can that be when the table we came across was where it was ? We said to the man who was Young looking with a pony tail and face piercings this is how we got our table, he was very rude towards us and shook his head, we moved our table slightly and the menu stack that was to side of us and he said we should note have touched that ! He told my wiser in-law to Move her arm as it was in his way, this chap really need to brush up on his customer service skills and should not be in this environment if he can’t cope with the business being busy, so disappointed in the service as we are regulars here, look at this picture you can clearly see this is enough room for this colleague to get by and do his job

I think this is a good spoons!! Off hidden away down a small alleyway, was fairly quiet but can imagine it gets busy quickly. If you want a place to go and sit in Nottingham and have a drink in peace this is your spot.
