About This Pub
Ah, The Red Lion – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper gem in Westminster, doesn't it? From the moment you walk in, you're enveloped in that timeless historic atmosphere, with its beautifully restored Victorian style that makes you feel like you're part of London's rich past. I love how they've got the food dialled in; the fish and chips are a real winner, and the salmon salad is fresh and flavoursome, all put together with seasonal ingredients that show they care about what they're serving. The drinks selection is spot on too, whether you're after a classic pint or something a bit more crafty, and the staff are just brilliant – so welcoming and efficient, they'll sort you out in no time. It's a great spot for all sorts, with family-friendly vibes and even outside seating for when the weather's playing nice. On the other hand, it's no secret that this place pulls in the crowds, so you might find yourself queuing or dealing with a bit of a hustle on busier evenings, and the prices are a step up from your average local boozer, which could add up if you're not careful. Still, for a memorable night out with mates or a special occasion, it's well worth it – just go in with realistic expectations and you'll have a cracking time.

A fun historic place with lots London of charm. The drinks were great and the fish and chips were tasty! Definitely an authentic pub experience.
We loved the Red Lion! We were there for lunch on a Friday & the place was packed, but the waitress was absolutely amazing & did her best to see that everyone was accommodated & happy. She was so friendly & helpful.
The pub itself is beautifully restored & has an incredible history to it.
Food was very tasty with generous portions. We didn't have the fish & chips. However, from those that we saw- the serving of fish was absolutely huge!
Definitely recommend this quintessentially English pub.
Great fish and chip! Girl who runs the show is on top of it. She gets you a table quick! Guinness is also an A+

The Red Lion Pub is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area, especially if you’re looking for a traditional and casual experience. Established in the 1400s, the pub exudes historical charm, and this is evident as soon as you step inside. The dining room is located upstairs, where we enjoyed lunch twice during our visit—proof that the food is both delicious and worth returning for. The pub also offers a selection of excellent beers, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Given its quality and atmosphere, we’re confident that the Red Lion will become one of our favorite places to stop by whenever we’re in the area. Additionally, its location in the heart of London, near key landmarks related to the English government, makes it an even more appealing choice for both locals and tourists alike.
