About This Pub
Ah, Tattershall Castle – what a gem it is, tucked away on the Thames opposite the London Eye. I've got to say, it's one of those places that really captures the spirit of a good old London pub, but with that extra twist of being on a boat, which makes every visit feel a bit special. From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, the highlights are the jaw-dropping views that make you want to linger over a pint, and the food doesn't disappoint either – that fish and chips or a burger comes highly recommended for a satisfying bite. The staff are genuinely warm and attentive, adding to the relaxed, fun atmosphere that's ideal for catching up with mates or celebrating something. On the flip side, though, keep in mind that not every dish is a winner in terms of size; some portions might feel a tad skimpy, and if you're sensitive to motion, the boat's gentle rock could put a damper on things. All in all, it's a solid choice for a Thames-side tipple, with its mix of indoor and outdoor spots, events to liven up the evening, and that moderate price point that keeps it accessible. If you're heading out for a pub crawl or just fancy a change from the usual, I'd give it a go – it's got that balance of charm and character that makes for a great night.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The views from the Thames are absolutely stunning, especially with the London Eye and Big Ben right there – it's a real treat for anyone popping in for a drink or meal.
-
The food is spot on; think tasty fish and chips or a crispy chicken burger that hits the spot, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.
-
Service is top-notch, with friendly staff who go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable, like that waiter who was all smiles and super accommodating.
-
It's got a great atmosphere, whether you're chilling on the deck with a cold beer or enjoying events like comedy nights – plenty to keep things lively.
Cons
-
Some dishes, like the scallops, might come with smaller portions than you'd hope for, which could leave you wanting a bit more bang for your buck.
-
Being on a boat means you might feel the gentle sway, which isn't for everyone and could make things a tad uncomfortable if you're not keen on that movement.

Had a lovely lunch at Tattershall Castle. The weather was perfect and dining on the Thames was a great experience. Service was stellar. I had the fish and chips, my husband got the crispy chicken burger—both were tasty and well-cooked. The added cold, crisp beers made it even better.
Lovely boat on the Thames that has been made into a pub. The view from the top deck is stunning, with a direct view of the London eye. There are 2 bars at the top with lots of seating, as well as an indoor seating area downstairs. They also have a fish and chip bar on the top deck as well as serving food from the kitchen menu. I've been here a few times now but not yet tried the food but it looks really lovely!
I've overlooked this so many times and came here twice recently with a friend. Great atmosphere and beautiful views. Perfect for a few relaxing drinks. I didn't try the food but I saw what other people were having and it looked nice.
The location is amazing, right near big Ben and the London eye - I would love to visit on an evening when everything is illuminated. The staff are friendly and the prices are what you would expect in London but for the experience of being on a boat it is well worth it! Highly recommended.
My mother & I had an absolutely wonderful experience!! The views are great, food is delicious and fun atmosphere. Lumi, our waiter was awesome!! He was extremely accommodating & friendly with a warm smile. I highly recommend everyone to enjoy this establishment.
I had a lunch date there. It’s a beautiful venue. On a sunny summer’s day, it’s the best place for a drink.
We had lunch on the lower deck. It is at the water line and you can feel the movement of the boat.
Had drinks and lunch. They have a well-stocked bar.
I had scallops and they were small scallops. And they were delicious.
Also had the beef short rib which fell off the bone which came with some greens and mashed potatoes. The beef ribs were tasty.
The waiters were attentive.
