About This Pub
Ah, The Red Lion – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its timeless charm and that genuine, homely atmosphere, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's packed with character, almost like wandering into a bygone era, and the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure you feel welcome. The beer selection gets a big thumbs up too, with some cracking options that keep folks coming back for more, and it's handy having good parking if you're nipping in from further afield. On the flip side, though, the range of cask ales is a tad limited, and there might be a bit of mystery around who's brewing what, which could leave you scratching your head. Still, overall, it's a solid spot for a pint or two with friends, especially if you appreciate that authentic pub experience without all the fuss. I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just go in with an open mind and enjoy the vibe!

Cons

-
One or two quirky things, like an offensive glass mentioned in a review, might not sit well with everyone, even if it's minor.

A proper pub, best atmosphere you can have , generally custard great people, genuine and welcoming, staff are top notch too, I travel a few miles a couple of times a week, good parking and beer
Had a well deserved pint in here and it was very very nice. Service was great and the bar tender was very friendly and chatty.
I love this pub. It's full of character and characters. It's like walking into a time warp and makes me feel like a kid again going to the pub with my parents back in the 90s, at least this time I get to enjoy the beer and not a panda pop! In terms of drink they have a cracking selection of beers and cask ales. Seriously can't fault this place and hope it never changes.
If you like your pubs old school and set in time then this bar is certainly for you. Full of character, so too some of the regulars.
Only a limited choice of cask ales. The house bitter has Coach House on one clip and Phoenix on the pump in use so I haven’t a clue who brewed this - what I can say is it was on fine form.
A nice enough place, and nice to see that they have Heineken 0.0 on draught (only the second place so far) albeit the Fosters glass was offensive even if I don’t drink lol
Second time of visiting now, and have a higher opinion of the place. Quite peaceful on a Monday evening, and being served Heineken 0.0 in a Heineken glass is way less offensive than being served it in a Fosters glass as whilst I don’t drink… I still don’t want to be associated with piss 😂
