About This Pub
Ah, the Dyers Arms – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of a good old British night out, isn't it? From what I've gathered from folks' chats online, it's got this warm, welcoming feel with staff who are always up for a laugh and a chat, making you feel like you're among mates right from the off. The live music scene is spot on too; it's lively and gets everyone in the mood, paired with a cosy fireplace and sports on the telly for those quieter moments. Plus, the beers are reasonably priced with a solid selection that hits the spot after a long day. But, let's be straight, it does have its downsides – the noise can be overwhelming, like trying to have a conversation in a packed stadium, and there are bits that feel a bit neglected, such as stained seating or a tiny smoking area that leaves you squashed. I've heard a few tales of it getting a bit too rowdy or even unhygienic at times, which might not suit everyone, especially if you're after something more polished. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun evening if you don't mind the rougher edges, but maybe best for when you're up for a bit of chaos rather than a peaceful pint.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is really friendly and welcoming, with helpful staff that make you feel right at home.
-
It's a great spot for live music, with a lively crowd that adds to the buzz and energy.
-
They've got a nice fireplace and TVs showing sports, perfect for settling in with mates on a chilly evening.
-
Beer prices are quite reasonable, and there's a good selection of beers, lagers, and even a real ale on tap.
Cons
-
It can get incredibly loud, making it tough to have a proper chat without shouting over the noise.
-
Some areas feel a bit run-down, like stained seats and a small, cramped smoking area that doesn't make for a comfortable experience.
-
There have been reports of unhygienic moments, which might put you off if you're after a spotlessly clean venue.
-
It has a bit of a dive bar vibe at times, with rowdy behaviour that could spoil the fun for those wanting a relaxed pint.

Stain covered seats around pool table, ask for a glass of wine and you get given a little bottle and a brandy glass and pour your own, landlord on his hands and knees throwing up in the urinal, then going back serving behind the bar. Classy joint.
Probably the loudest pub I've ever been to. My friend's apple watch was giving a warning about the decibel level. I was barely able to hear the band over the locals gobs🙉😂
I went in for a light ale. It’s a busy pub, very loud. There’s a nice fireplace, television showing sport. The beer is quite cheap. Decent enough boozer.
A bit of a dive, and the only pub that I couldn’t keep myself to myself in — due to people perhaps being more intoxicated than they should’ve been… also the smoking area was extremely small, hence why my drink was on a seat (I had to stay stood up). Incidentally, this was the only pub in the area that I visited that I consider avoidable
Friendly atmosphere, helpful and polite staff.
Good live music venue, lively audience.
One real ale on tap, Good selection of beers and lagers.
