About This Pub

Ah, The Queen's Head – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Kingston, doesn't it? I've heard from a few mates who've stayed there, and they're all buzzing about the rooms; they're spacious, immaculately clean, and come with lovely surprises like a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary drinks and a decent coffee setup – makes you feel properly looked after. The staff are the real stars, always so friendly and attentive, whether you're just nipping in for a quick bite or settling in for the night. The menu's a winner too, dishing up classic pub fare with fresh, seasonal twists at prices that won't break the bank, and those beer gardens out front and back are ideal for soaking up the atmosphere or catching one of their fun events. On the downside, a couple of folks mentioned the mattresses aren't quite as plush as they'd hoped, which might leave you a bit restless if you're fussy about your kip. And it's a tad frustrating that the operating hours aren't clearly spelled out, so you might need to double-check before heading over. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed pint and a stay, especially if you're exploring the area – I'd say it's worth a visit for the good outweighing the small gripes.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The rooms are an absolute delight – spacious, spotlessly clean, and packed with thoughtful touches like a complimentary mini-fridge full of beers, wine, and snacks, plus a well-stocked coffee station.
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive, whether you're popping in for a pint or staying overnight.
  • The food is spot on, with refined pub classics made from fresh, seasonal ingredients at very reasonable prices, and they've got fun promotions and events like opera in the garden to keep things lively.
  • The outdoor spaces, including the front and rear beer gardens, are perfect for a relaxed drink or meal, especially on a sunny day in Kingston.
Cons
  • One niggle is that the mattresses in the rooms might not be the most comfortable for everyone, so if you're particular about your bed, it could affect your sleep.
  • It's a bit of a shame that there aren't specific operating hours listed, which might make it tricky to plan a visit without checking in advance.

Stopped off for a quiet pint while passing. Nice space with front and rear beer gardens. Nice looking menu. Lots of promotions throughout week and even hosting an opera in the garden event

Stayed for one night and loved it. Really comfortable room with all the facilities you could wish for. Bathroom didn't have a bath but rainfall shower was good. Fridge with some complimentary water and booze, nespresso machine, proper TV, opening window and air con. Comfy bed. Ate in the pub (10% discount on food and drink for residents). The food was delicious and service excellent even though they were also calmly dealing with another customer having something of a medical emergency. Quiet location but close to river and quite close to town centre. We'll be back!

One of the nicer places I’ve stayed in London, the room was so spacious, comfortable and spotless too! The complimentary items in the mini bar were a nice surprise, and the coffee/tea station was well stocked. I particularly enjoyed their selection of Artisan Coffee bags - so much so that I’m now looking to get some to have at home! I also enjoyed a nice pint of Guinness downstairs in the pub. The noise doesn’t travel from downstairs at all, nor from the road outside. Service is impeccable too and staff are so friendly. I look forward to staying here again if I’m in the area!

Great pub in a good location! The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. My only minor complaint is that the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, but overall, I had a very pleasant stay
