About This Pub
Ah, The Porterhouse – it's one of those spots in Covent Garden that always comes up when I'm chatting with friends about where to grab a pint. I have to say, the beer selection is just spot on; they've got this incredible range of craft brews that make you feel like you've stepped into beer heaven, and it's all served with that classic Irish warmth. The place is way bigger inside than it looks from the street, with different levels and even a beer garden that's ideal for soaking up the vibes on a sunny day. Whether you're there for live music downstairs or to catch the latest rugby match on one of their many screens, it's got that lively energy that keeps things entertaining. The food's no afterthought either – think tasty pub classics like calamari and fish and chips that pair perfectly with a cold one, and it's reasonably priced for the area, which is a win in my book. On the flip side, it does get absolutely rammed at times, so you might end up playing a bit of musical chairs to find a table, and I've heard a few tales of orders getting muddled when the bar's rushed off its feet. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a fun evening; just go with the flow and you'll have a brilliant time sharing stories over a pint.

Good Pub that is much bigger inside than it appears from the outside. Lots of spaces on different levels to find, from bigger tables for groups until small niches for a couple. Depending on the number of guests, not all areas are accessible. Really nice, but You have to be lucky to catch a free seat: outside area, which is lovely during summer and the big umbrellas should also keep away the worst on a rainy day. Good choice of beers, mostly regional, nice menu with burgers & co.
Take the time to walk around on the right side to have a view at the amazing windows
Popped in for last drinks of a birthday day out. What an absolute gem. Nice local beers and an absolutely enchanting maze of a building to explore. Drinks orders get messed up a couple times but not real drama. Lovely booze spot and lovely live music whilst we were there.
Nice crowded place. A bit challenging to find a spot, but service is very quick once settled. We ordered calamari the spicy appetizer basket and fish n chips.
All was good, and great beer selection too
Must go beer venue for any beer person. Wherever you look there is beer... literally... walls made out of beer bottle display cabinets. All the railings, pipes, tubes are made out of copper, shiny as hell. 10/10 atmospehe. Prices are surprisingly good for Covent Garden and beer selection is also great. Can only recommend. Hidden in quiet side street, no street noise, plenty tables and seating. Toilets are nice as well.
This place is the best. Wide selection of beers, perfect bar food and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was really nice as well. Order and pay at the bar 👍🏻
