About This Pub

Oh, The Round House in Covent Garden is one of those pubs that just feels like a proper British hideaway, with its unique rounded building and cosy nooks that make you want to settle in for a chat. I love how they've got a great range of drinks on offer, especially those Fuller's classics that are always spot on, and the simple food like toasted sandwiches really hits the mark for a quick bite. The staff are dead welcoming too, adding to that friendly atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after a day out. On the downside, it's not the cheapest place – those London prices can add up quickly – and with no bookings, you might find yourself hovering by the door on busier nights. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a traditional pub experience in a buzzing location, but keep an eye on your budget and plan for a bit of a wait if things are lively.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cosy interior and that distinctive rounded facade give it a real charming, historical feel that's just lovely for a relaxed pint.
  • They've got a cracking selection of Fuller's beers and other drinks, always served cold and clear, which is spot on if you're a fan.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home, and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming.
  • It's in a prime spot in Covent Garden, perfect for nipping in after a wander around the area or catching up with mates.
Cons
  • Prices are a bit on the steep side for drinks, like £19 for two gins, so it might hit the wallet harder than some other spots.
  • No table bookings due to limited space, which means you could end up waiting or standing if it's busy – not ideal on a packed evening.
  • The food options are simple and tasty, but with higher costs and potential crowds, it might not be the best for a full meal out.

Nice fullers pub. Clean, friendly, sparkly. Good location. Obv fullers beers, which is a personal preference, or not. Mine was well presented cold and clear. But of history Mrs T.

£19 for 2 gin and tonic, so not cheap. Nice pub though

Stopped here randomly on the lunch hour during a day-long walk around the city. Bright, welcoming space with a decent beer selection and a nice array of toasted sandwiches available (we had the ham and cheese - excellent.) The young man on duty was somehow managing to serve the entire pub single-handedly and still had to time to answer tourist questions ("what's a cask ale?"). High marks all round.

A nice traditional pub with an interesting history situated a couple of minutes from Covent Garden. Good range of drinks and a simple menu of burgers and toasties. Friendly atmosphere and nice and light interior. Prices typical for the area. £17 for glass of wine and a pint.

I went here for some dessert. It is an Italian restaurant. The place was full on a weekday night, but when I requested the staff that I was there for just a dessert and I won't take long, they accommodated me :) the tiramisu was nice! Would certainly love to visit again for some pasta :) good food, good ambience, great service!
