About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Plough at Euxton – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a proper pub experience in the heart of the Lancashire countryside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a standout; we're talking hearty, home-cooked dishes with fresh local ingredients that make every meal feel special, whether it's a steak pie or some tasty pasta. The service is spot on too – always a warm welcome and that extra patience with families, which makes it feel like a second home. And don't get me started on the outdoor bits; the beer garden and crazy golf are brilliant for sunnier days, adding a fun, family-oriented twist to your visit. On the flip side, it's tucked away a bit, so if you're not nearby, it might take some effort to get there, and with prices on the moderate side, it could stretch the budget for regular trips. Still, it's worth it for the atmosphere alone – a mix of old-school charm and modern comforts that keeps things lively without being overwhelming. All in all, if you're after a place for good grub, great company, and a touch of countryside magic, this one's a solid choice, though popping in on quieter days might make for the best experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Beautiful British Countryside.
The Plough Inn in Euxton has quickly become our new favourite place, and for good reason.
This quirky, traditional, family-run British country pub is a standout in every way. Run by the welcoming duo of John and his son Reece, the hospitality here is second to none. From the moment you step through the door, you’re treated like one of their own.
Set against the backdrop of stunning countryside views and enchanting woodlands, the pub offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. It’s not just the surroundings that impress—the experience is elevated by thoughtful extras like a fun crazy golf course, which adds a truly unique and enjoyable twist for all ages.
The food deserves special praise. Hats off to the chef for delivering top-class meals that strike the perfect balance between quality and value. Every dish we tried was prepared with care and packed with flavour. Combined with a superb selection of drinks, it’s easy to see why this place draws such loyal patrons.
Prices are refreshingly reasonable, and yet the quality remains uncompromised. It’s clear that John and Reece have poured heart and soul into creating a place that’s as much about people as it is about plates.
A genuine British treasure—warm, characterful, and completely charming. We’ll definitely be back soon.
See you again,

Really enjoyed the food and great service. Had the duck and chicken and chorizo pasta (not on same day!) Patience with my mother was worth 10 stars!
A review from my 7 year old daughter: Hi my name is Aimelie. It was an amazing lovely experience. They served wonderfully, they’re really nice. Everything that I had was amazing they didn’t have what l wanted for a starter, but they had loads more so I didn’t have a starter and then for the main course it was really good: handmade chicken nuggets and for pudding wonderful delicious ice cream scoops. On the menu it said that you could have as many scoops as you want, the maximum my dad allowed me to have was four. We also got 20 marshmallows to put in our ice cream a flake made of chocolate and a wafer with chocolate in the middle. It’s great for kids and adults. I love it so much I really recommend it to everyone in the world. It’s one of the best restaurant places I’ve ever been to. I hope you read this and go there cause it is amazing and so so so so so wonderful. Goodbye.
The food and service were excellent. Hadn't been here for a long time, but called in and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and tasty (try the spring rolls). Everything was perfect. Would highly recommend.
Lovely service and a delicious meal. Great generous portions.
My steak and ale pie had ample quality steak with vege and gravy that I could dip my puff pastry top in.
The posh scampi were huge, more like good size Aussie prawns!!
