About This Pub
Ah, The Pitch Pine – it's one of those hidden gems in Kirkdale that you stumble upon and think, 'Why haven't I been here sooner?' From the reviews I've had a look at, it's got that proper old-school pub charm that we all crave, with a welcoming feel inside that's perfect for a relaxed evening. The staff sound like absolute stars, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone feels looked after, which is just what you want after a long day. They've even got some cracking entertainment lined up, like live acts that keep things lively without being overwhelming. And let's not forget, the pints are spot on, all at a budget-friendly price that won't leave you out of pocket. On the flip side, though, the outside is a bit of a letdown – it looks neglected and might put some off at first glance, making it seem like it's not open for business. Plus, with no recent reviews and a quiet online presence, it feels like it could use a bit more buzz to keep the energy going. All in all, if you're in Liverpool and fancy a no-fuss spot for a good chat and a drink, I'd say give it a go – you might just find yourself coming back for more, as long as you check it's open first!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
It's got that classic traditional pub vibe that makes you feel right at home, with a cosy and welcoming atmosphere inside.
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – always friendly, helpful, and ready for a chat, which really adds to the experience.
-
They've got great entertainment on offer, like live performers, which can make for a memorable night out.
-
Serves a cracking pint in a tidy space, and it's all at an inexpensive price, so you won't break the bank.
Cons
-
The outside looks a bit rundown and could do with a makeover – it might give the impression it's closed, which is a real shame.
-
Not much online presence or recent chatter, as there haven't been any new reviews in the last six months, so it feels a tad under the radar.
-
The operating hours seem a bit limited and inconsistent, with it currently listed as closed, so you'd want to double-check before heading over.

Lovely place and a lovely atmosphere, though the place needs a bit of a makeover on the outside as some people might think it’s closed but it is lovely
I drive past this place regularly and been meaning to return for a while now. Looks deceiving from the outside, inside the pub is very tidy with a traditional, well used feel. Good pint. A little hidden gem, I hope to visit again soon!
