About This Pub
Ah, The Hawthorne Pub – it's one of those neighbourhood spots that just feels like a proper British local, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this charming, unpretentious vibe where the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like that chap Lewis who was mentioned for his top-notch service. The atmosphere is spot on for a casual get-together; imagine sinking into a comfy seat with a pint of great beer, chatting away without a care. It's affordable too, which is always a win for us lot who appreciate a good value night out. On the flip side, it's clear from a few comments that the place is in need of a bit of TLC – nothing major, but a fresh coat of paint or some updates could really lift it up. And if you're hoping for a bite to eat, you're out of luck, as they don't do food, so plan ahead if you're peckish. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in Bootle looking for a friendly pint and a laugh, but keep in mind it might not be the flashiest spot on the high street. I'd say give it a go if you're nearby; it's got that heartwarming community feel that's hard to beat.

It's an inclusive spot where everyone feels welcome, no matter who you are, which is always a plus for a good night out.
-
They're open every day from midday till midnight, so it's super convenient for a spontaneous pint or a catch-up.
Cons
-
The place could do with a bit of a refresh; it's showing its age in spots, which might put some off.
-
They don't serve food, so if you're after a meal with your drink, you'll have to head elsewhere first.
-
With only a moderate number of reviews, it might not be the most buzzing spot compared to bigger venues.
