About This Pub
Ah, The Jawbone Tavern, what a treat it is! I've got to say, stepping into this place feels like a step back in time with its 1802 roots, but in the best possible way – it's got that homely, inviting charm that just makes you want to settle in for the evening. The live music buzzing on weekends and the sports matches playing across those six screens really liven things up, and from what I've heard from folks who've been, the food is spot on, especially those hearty Sunday roasts and the bargain curry nights that won't break the bank. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat, and that back garden area's a nice touch for when you fancy a breather. On the flip side, the opening hours can be a bit of a muddle if you're relying on different sources, and it's not the flashiest spot with its traditional setup, but honestly, that's what gives it soul. All in all, if you're after a proper pub experience with good vibes and great value, this one's a winner – I'd pop in for a pint and see for yourself!
Pros and Cons

Family-friendly with free WiFi and a mix of entertainment, so it's perfect for a relaxed catch-up or even a quick work break.
Cons
-
The opening hours might be a tad confusing at times, with some info suggesting earlier closes than what's on the website, so it's worth double-checking before heading out.
-
As an older venue, it might not have all the modern bells and whistles you'd find in newer places, though that's part of its character.

Went on 'curry night'... its a new thing. Bargain, £9.50 for a curry and a pint. Food was lovely, beer was cold. Staff were friendly. Been going there for years but recently it's had a bit of a face-lift and it shows. Great stuff
