About This Pub

Ah, The Orange Tree – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper gem in Chadwick End. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its menu; you've got everything from stone-fired pizzas that are a bargain, especially with deals on, to prime steaks and global-inspired dishes that keep things interesting. The staff are top-notch too, always on hand with a smile and quick to sort you out, whether it's for a spontaneous lunch or a big birthday bash in their garden tipi. It's got that perfect blend of relaxed and stylish, with open fires inside and beautiful gardens outside, making it a lovely spot to unwind. On the flip side, it does get heaving at times, so if you're not quick to reserve a table, you might find yourself squeezed into something less comfy, which could put a damper on things. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone after a good meal and a chat, but I'd say it's best to plan ahead to make the most of it – honestly, the positives far outweigh the niggles, and it's one I'd happily recommend for a memorable visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think delicious pizzas, steaks, and seasonal specials that hit the spot without breaking the bank, especially with those two-for-one deals.
  • The staff are a real highlight; they're friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or celebrating a special occasion.
  • It's got a warm, welcoming atmosphere with open kitchens, log-burning fires, and lovely gardens, perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates or even hosting events like birthdays.
Cons
  • It can get pretty busy, so if you don't book ahead, you might end up with less comfortable seating like sofas or small chairs, which isn't ideal for a long evening.
  • While the overall vibe is great, some folks might find the moderate prices a tad steep if you're just after a simple pint, though it's worth it for the full experience.

Despite driving past twice a day for many years, yesterday was my first visit. Two for the price of one pizza, was an absolute bargain and really high quality. I absolutely loved my visit.

Attended a 30th Birthday at the weekend, which was in the garden tipi. Rayne is top tier! So attentive and friendly. I could not fault anything, and she certainly made sure the day was a special one to remember. The entire day ran without a hitch. The food was lovely and all the staff that helped Rayne were all so nice too. Nothing was to much for them and I want to say a massive thank you to you all! What a great asset to the business. Popped in with my wife for a quick drink. The atmosphere was great and staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly so we ended up staying for food and more drink. Food portions were just right too. A great evening spent here and will definitely be recommending it and returning! Note: Vegans options are sadly lacking - this needs addressing for all those that are vegan and have milk intolerances please!

Been here a few times now, and always a good experience. We called in on Saturday afternoon, on the way back from Warwick, to have lunch. Service was prompt - we hadn't booked, but we're shown to a table straight away. Once at the table staff were prompt in taking our drinks order, and returning with the drinks. Once we had decided on what we wanted, staff were quickly over to take the order. We went for the nachos to share as a starter, we had the small portion, as we were advised that it was quite big - which was the case! Home-made nachos with what looked like home-made nacho cheese sauce on the side and lots of salsa, sour-cream and jalapeños heaped on the nachos themselves - very tasty! I had the 1/2 Spit-roasted chicken, with bourbon bbq sauce and fries, and my partner opted for the sea bass. Both were well cooked and arrived quickly after ordering. My only niggle is the description of the chicken, 1/2 a spit-roasted chicken normally means just that, a chicken cut in half, whereas this was a small breast and a leg portion. As I say, only a niggle I've description, it was well cooked and tasty. Will definitely call in again when in the area

A lot of options to choose from which includes some vegetarian options as well. The place is warm and busy. The drinks were amazing and loved the aubergine dish. Would highly recommend to book a table else you will end up in sofas or very small chairs. Will visit again. Note: Visited in September 23
