About This Pub
Ah, Kings Arms Knowle – what a gem of a spot in Solihull, tucked away by the Grand Union Canal. I've got to say, it's one of those places that really captures that classic country pub vibe, with its courtyard and garden making it ideal for a sunny afternoon pint or a leisurely meal outdoors. The staff are an absolute delight; they're attentive and welcoming, always ready with a smile and a chat, which makes the whole experience feel warm and personal. The food is another highlight – think hearty, flavoursome dishes that hit the spot, from amazing breakfasts to delicious dinners like a perfectly cooked rib eye, all at a fair price that won't break the bank. And if you're popping in for a stay, the rooms are cosy and charming, with that extra touch of character that makes it feel like a proper getaway. On the flip side, though, it does get mobbed on those bright days, so service might drag a bit when everyone's vying for a table in the sun – still, it's worth the wait for the views and atmosphere. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in the West Midlands looking for good food, drinks, and a bit of canal-side relaxation, but maybe plan ahead if the weather's playing nice!

Lovely pub on the canal side. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is great for the price. Can get busy on sunny days when everyone wants to sit in the sun which causes slower service but still a great choice!
I had a pleasant stay at The King’s Arms, we were taken care of by Reece for the majority of the visit, he offered attentive and friendly hospitality. The food was a highlight, all of the meals we ordered including breakfast were delicious, tasty and well presented and the room we stayed in was very pleasant too. The décor was tasteful and the atmosphere throughout was beautiful. There was a lovely view overlooking the bridge and canal from the restaurant and the interior had lovely panelled walls, plush velvet furnishings and complimentary colour-ways and patterns. Would come recommended.
Popped in for an impromptu lunch as we were passing on the way home. I'm so glad we did as the food and service were first class. All the staff were friendly and the menu was amazing. I would definitely go there again.
Called in on h the way back home from Solihull. We have wanted to visit before but by the time we recognised it was open we had gone over the bridge and found it difficult to turn round..This time we we made the effort and are glad we did. It’s a member of The Innkeeper’s Collection chain. We only wanted a drink but there were plenty of people who seemed to be enjoying their meals. Service at the bar was a bit slow but friendly and the pub was warm and welcoming. Several people checked into the hotel while we were there so it seems like a popular and convenient place to stay. We will certainly go there again, perhaps for a meal next time. It had a large car park and outdoor seating to enjoy in Summer. .
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Kings Arms Knowle. We had the most delicious rib eye at the restaurant on the Friday night, and then the following morning the most amazing breakfast. It was really top class. Our room was cosy and well presented with a lovely ensuite. There was nothing we could fault. If we are in the area again we'll be back, maybe in the summer to enjoy your beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the Grand Union Canal.
