About This Pub
Ah, The Olde Globe Inn – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of old British hospitality, tucked away on Bridlington's High Street. From the reviews, it's clear folks love the warm, welcoming atmosphere; the staff go out of their way to make you feel at ease, and there's a nice cosy bar upfront with a separate area for a game of pool or some computer fun. Plus, with a solid selection of beers and ciders at budget-friendly prices, it's an easy spot to pop in for a chat and a pint after a day out. On the downside, it does feel a tad worn around the edges, and it's a shame about the lack of real ale – that might leave some ale enthusiasts wanting more. Oh, and remember to bring cash because they don't take cards, and there've been a couple of gripes about drinks not being as fizzy as they'd like. All in all, if you're after a straightforward, traditional pub with genuine charm, it's worth a visit, but it might not wow you if you're looking for something more modern. I'd say give it a go for that authentic feel, especially on a sunny day when you can snag a seat outside.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
It's got that classic traditional pub vibe, with a cosy front bar and even a separate room for pool and games, making it feel like a proper old-school hangout
-
The staff are really friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and great service that makes you feel right at home
-
They offer a good selection of beers, lagers, and ciders, and from what I've heard, the drinks come in clean glasses for a nice, refreshing pint
-
It's inexpensive, so you can enjoy a few rounds without breaking the bank, and it's open every day from midday till 11pm for some reliable pub time
Cons
-
The place feels a bit dated and could do with a bit of a spruce-up, as it's starting to show its age in spots
-
No cask-conditioned real ale on offer, which might disappoint those of us who fancy a more authentic ale experience
-
It only takes cash, no cards, which is a bit of a hassle in this day and age when you're out and about
-
There have been a few mentions of drinks not being quite right, like being flat, so it might not always hit the mark

Good old fashioned pub on the old town. Great service. Only had half a pint, clean glass nice drink.
The Olde Globe Inn is a nice traditional pub. There is a good choice of beers lager and cider but sadly no cask conditioned real ale when i called in. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a cosy front bar and a separate room with a pool table and computer game. There is an outside seating area, and the pub is dog friendly.
Brilliant pub made welcome by landlady and regulars alike
The place is very dated, does not take card payments which is very odd given we are in 2020 and the two drinks I had was both flat.... your best off going over to the Queens pub on the other side of the road.
If this pub was in sheffield I would suspect it would close down with in a month and unless changes are made I cant see it surviving.
Will add if you also want food with your drinks forget it.
Lovely old lass running this pub
