About This Pub
Ah, The Old Stillage in Bristol – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the Sunday roasts are an absolute highlight; folks are raving about the tender beef, well-seasoned veg, spot-on Yorkshire puds, and that rich, flavoursome gravy that leaves you wanting seconds without breaking the bank. The staff really stand out too – they're described as legends who go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable, which always makes a big difference on a night out. It's got this relaxed, easy-going energy with dope artwork and a spacious feel that's ideal for catching up with friends over a drink. But, to keep it real, there are a couple of downsides; the beers might cost a bit more than you'd expect for a neighbourhood spot, and if you're popping in for food, you could be in for a wait of about 40 minutes, which isn't ideal if you're peckish. Plus, it can get a bit nippy inside sometimes, so it's worth noting if you're sensitive to the cold. All in all, it's a solid choice for a hearty meal and good times, especially if you're in the mood for value and vibes, but just plan ahead for those little hitches.
Pros and Cons

Cons
-
Beers can be a bit on the pricey side, especially for a local pub outside the city centre.

-
The place can get quite cold inside at times, so you might want to bring a jumper along.

Special shout for the Sunday roast, unbelievable. Staff are first class and you certainly get value for money.
Nice place with lovely staff. Beers are a bit pricy considering it's not a city centre pub but overall enjoyable with a relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back again (not tried one yet but the Sunday roast looks absolutely delicious).
One of the best roasts i’ve had in Bristol for while, especially in terms of value for money.
The beef was cooked perfectly and all of the veg was seasoned nicely. Yorkshire and potatoes were on point. The gravy was full of flavour, and enough on the plate that there was no need to ask for extra.
We came as a large group and the staff were very accommodating. The food came out promptly and no one was waiting too long for theirs, considering we were such a large table.
Thoroughly recommended the Stillage to put on your list of roasts to try in Bristol!
The food was very nice. I had a lovely beef, great selection of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with an extra of cauliflower cheese. The roast potatoes weren't that great, but the rest was top quality for me.
We had to wait for our meal around 40 mins and the pub was quite cold hence points down for service and athmosfere. They don't serve tea either, which I thought was a bit odd for the place that serves food.
Best night ever. Such a big venue feel for a chill pub.
Dope artwork, massive energy. Untouchable vibes.
Staff all utter legends.
Couldn't recommend higher.
