About This Pub

Ah, The Old Moseley Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a warm hug when you walk in, especially if you're after a solid traditional spot in Birmingham. I love how they've nailed the real ales; the range is brilliant and always well-kept, with options like Bathams and Enville that really hit the spot. Pair that with some superb Indian food that's both flavoursome and affordable, and you've got a winning combo for a great night out. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and the comfy seating adds to that relaxed, homely feel – it's ideal for chatting over a few drinks. On the flip side, it's a shame there's no website to quickly check menus or times, so you might end up winging it a bit. And while the spot in Balsall Heath has its charm, it could be a trek for some folks. All in all, it's a fantastic place if you're up for good beer, hearty food, and a bit of that old-school pub magic – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area.

  • It's got that cosy, traditional vibe with comfy seats and tables, perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends.
Cons

  • The location in Balsall Heath might not be the easiest for everyone to reach, depending on where you're coming from in Birmingham.

Great pub. Traditional, but also serving good curries. Excellent range of real ales (Bathams, Enville, Butty Bach, etc), which are beautifully presented together with other beers and lagers. Landlord and all staff very welcoming and efficient.

This is a delightful old fashioned pub with superb caterers cooking wonderful Indian food. Sukhi who owned it is really pleasant and as soon as he heard I had a flat battery left what he was doing and brought out a charger then jump leads which was well over and above what I expected. He also made the AA man and myself mugs of coffee. I explained to her AA man how good it is so we will both be returning fir great hospitality Thank you Sukhi Much appreciated 👏 David
