Is that a moose head hanging above the door? One thing Prince of Wales doesn’t lack, is character. The 19 Century building is a leather bound, cove of dimly lit wooden rooms. The walls are decorated in places and people from Birmingham’s past. One of the rooms still has service bells located just above its bench’s back rests.
In the beer garden there is a mass of additional seating. What was unexpected was the undercover Polynesian style bar area. It’s bloody huge and decorated to reflect the warmth of the tropical culture.
Food is courtesy of Cantina. A selection of vegan dishes to sample as part of their tasting menu. These were great to snack on. Excellent complements for the many fine ales The Prince of Wales has on tap.
Very spacious and covered beer garden out back, with its own bar. Great pub grub too, vegan-friendly and different from the usual offerings. Good place for a group get-together.
Lovely atmosphere with a good selection of ale and drinks in general. Friendly and helpful staff and and plenty of room inside and in the beer garden put back. Love having the opportunity to hang out here when I get the chance.
