About This Pub

Ah, One Trick Pony Club – it's one of those places that just draws you in with its funky industrial-saloon feel, right in the heart of Moseley. From what I've gathered from folks who've been there, it's a real gem for unwinding; the staff are dead lovely and make you feel right at home, while the food and drinks menu is spot on, offering cracking pub grub, a rotating lineup of craft beers, and cocktails that'll have you coming back for more. The entertainment side is brilliant too, with pool tables and games that get everyone laughing and competing, though it does get popular, so you might end up queuing for a go. On the flip side, it's not without its little niggles – like needing an extra pool table on busier evenings to avoid any waits – but overall, it's a welcoming spot that strikes a nice balance between relaxed and lively. If you're after a place to kick back with pals near Moseley Park or the like, this one's worth a punt; it's got that authentic pub charm without trying too hard, and you'd be hard-pressed not to have a good time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's stylish, relaxed, and full of quirky charm, making it a brilliant spot for catching up with mates.
  • Staff are super welcoming and friendly, always quick with service and adding to that cosy, professional vibe.
  • The food is excellent and fairly priced, with tasty options like dirty fries that hit the spot without breaking the bank.
  • Loads of entertainment on offer, like pool tables and other games, which keep things lively and fun for groups.
  • They've got a great selection of rotating craft beers and cocktails that are the star of the show, plus a lovely courtyard beer garden for sunnier days.
Cons
  • It can get a bit crowded around the pool tables, so you might have to wait your turn if it's busy – could do with another one to keep things flowing.
  • While the overall experience is top-notch, some might find the space a tad cavernous, which could feel overwhelming on quieter nights.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Ive been coming here once a month for the last few months to meet old sxhool friends. We always have a laugh at the pool table where we challenge each other. It could do with another pool table aa it is popular. Lots of other games etc to play too. The music and atmosphere is so good in there. We haven't eaten here so cannot comment on that.

Cannot comment on whether there is food but other than that it is a lovely, lively fun pub. The staff are lovely and service is quick. We are a group of childhood friends who pass by at least once a month to have a blast at pool to have a competition between us and we have so much fun the same time.. See you again soon

Just the trick. When it comes to cool One Trick Pony Club is ice cold. The cavernous interior has all the right cues: industrial lighting, retro art work, exposed brickwork and warm neon lighting. The staff complement the relaxed atmosphere, whilst still maintaining a high level of professionalism, care and attentiveness. What of the drinks and food? I can vouch for the latter. There is a large host of contemporary Pub dishes. The focus is on burgers and pizzas. The burgers being their speciality. They cater for veggies and vegans across the menu. I can vouch for the pizza, falafel pocket and torte. High quality and well presented. Given the huge host of seating arrangements inside and out, One Trick Pony is a great place to lounge and enjoy a social gathering.

Had tasty snack 'Dirty Fries' topped with tinga sauce, vegan mayo & crispy tobacco onions. The chips where nice and crispy. Good portions. Price was moderate at £6. Also had nice cup of tea and a cup of latte. Good relaxing atmosphere. The table service was quick and efficient.
