About This Pub

Ah, The Old Farmhouse, what a lovely spot it is in the heart of Kentish Town. I was chatting with a friend the other day about hidden gems in London, and this one came up straight away. It's got this charming rustic feel with candlelit tables and a welcoming atmosphere that just draws you in, making it ideal for a catch-up over dinner. The food really steals the show – think fresh, homemade Italian dishes that taste like they've been crafted with real care, plus burgers and other options that have people raving. Pair that with a solid selection of wines and cocktails at fair prices, and you've got yourself a winner for a relaxed evening. The staff are an absolute treat too, always friendly and quick to add a personal touch, like noticing a special occasion. On the flip side, if you're after more variety for veggies, the mains might feel a tad limited, though the starters more than make up for it. And don't forget, they've got those boutique bedrooms if you're fancying an overnight stay, with some nice discounts to boot. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for good food, good vibes, and that homely pub feel – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – fresh Italian dishes, burgers, and pasta that leave you wanting more, just like in those glowing reviews from folks who've tried it.
  • Service is warm and attentive; the staff go the extra mile, like surprising you with a glass of bubbly for a birthday or making room for a big group without fuss.
  • It's got a cosy, rustic vibe with candlelight and great decor that makes you feel right at home, perfect for a relaxed evening out.
  • Drinks selection is brilliant, with fine wines, ales, and cocktails at reasonable prices, plus handy discounts for students and NHS workers.
  • They've got boutique bedrooms upstairs, so you can turn a night out into a mini staycation, and even offer takeaway options for when you're in a rush.
Cons
  • Vegetarian mains are a bit thin on the ground, with only one or two options, though there are plenty of starters to choose from, so it's not a total letdown.
  • It leans heavily towards Italian cuisine, which might not suit everyone if you're after something more varied, like a classic British pub grub spread.

Our first day back from Italy and we just wanted a sandwich! We popped into The Old Farmhouse and they made room for our party of 6. My family loved their burgers, and my chicken sandwich was just what I needed after days of pizza and pasta. My son loved his kids chicken and chips! Try the truffle fries, they are dynamic!! Super friendly staff as well!

The food was on another level, Leo was the perfect host and the style of the place is super cool. My wife is a lover of Italian cuisine and she has firmly put the Old Farmhouse in her top 3 of all time! And they do an Italian version of a Sunday roast! Will be going back to sample that!! Was so impressed by the whole experience.

Went for dinner, the food was amazing and service was so friendly. The server noticed it was a birthday celebration and kindly brought us a glass of sparkling wine each. There were only one or two vegetarian options for mains but plenty on the starters.

Came for lunch and my gosh, we were blown away. The pasta was all so fresh and cooked to perfection. The burger was the best and most memorable restaurant burger we’ve had in a long time. The wine is really reasonably priced with a great selection. The service is great with incredibly friendly staff. The ambiance and decoration is delightful, relaxed and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend and would come back again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely stunning little find. Ten us went for dinner last night after a work event. Candle light, great ambience and decor but the food and cocktails were superb. The pasta was fresh and delicious, burgers also amazing. Staff were lovely. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
