Just asked who the chef was today and was given a snotty, attitude oriented reply.
Staff also should not be eating at the bar, its filth and a highly unappealing first impression.

Popped in for 1 pint and now I've got a £100 fine for parking on pub grounds? Was only there for an hour. ???
Didn’t feel very welcoming, steak was well done when requested medium, scampi came with no tar tar sauce, no napkins, would I recommend this pub, no would I go back no.
Service was poor as well as the atmosphere. The food arrived and was lukewarm and took an over an hour to arrive with some of the order missing. Will not eat here again and recommend anyone else getting sandwiches from the co op down the road.
Poor service from staff.
Told kitchen was closing when we had made reservations for a specific time.
Once we finally were allowed to order food after 15 minutes of back and forth with the staff they didn’t have half the items on the menu available and the food we did receive was freezing cold or had soggy buns. Never will return for food. Drinks were fine as expected from a pub
