About This Pub
Ah, The New Zealand – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its warm, traditional vibe, tucked away in Aylesbury. I have to say, the staff and the crowd make it feel like you're catching up with mates over a pint; they've got this fantastic array of ales and lager that hits the spot every time. Plus, there's always something fun on the go, whether it's a game of darts, a singalong at karaoke, or just settling in to watch the footy on one of their many TVs. The garden's been done up nicely too, making it a lovely spot for a summer evening. But, on the flip side, I've heard a few stories about the owner losing their cool in heated moments, which can really throw a shadow over things and leave you feeling a bit uneasy. And occasionally, the equipment for games isn't up to scratch, which is a shame when you're in the mood for a proper play. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual night out if you're after good value and a laugh, but it'd be even better if they ironed out those niggles – worth popping in if you're nearby, just keep your expectations balanced.

We have fun because we play the dart not counting points and darts, shuttlecocks was damaged, show me in my fiancé we couldn't play right way. Finally we meet owner of this pub and having nice chat. So we have nice memory from this time. They have karaoke in this place as well. 😀🥃

Went to watch the Euros 2024 final and will never be back. Witnessed the owner absolutely raging at a girl for smoking outside near some artificial grass - The way he was shouting was very upsetting to everyone, even the bouncer realised and came over to take him away! Wouldn’t want to be back if that’s what the owner acts like all the time.
First time at this pub watching the euro 2024 final, all pleasant up until the owner of the pub who had clearly had too much to drink, verbally abused me for smoking a cigarette close to the artificial grass in the rear garden. The security guard witnessed the aggression and intimidating way in which I was shouted at and advised the owner to calm down and move away. Our party left the pub immediately after this completely unacceptable and violent behaviour towards a customer. Will not be coming back. Disgraceful behaviour.
Great traditional pub.... friendly and clean. Great beer and staff. Lovely breakfast at the weekend. Sport always on one of the many tv's. Darts and pool too. Recently refurbished garden makes for a lovely summers afternoon/evening.
