About This Pub
Ah, Emperors Lounge – it's one of those bars in Aylesbury that you might hear mixed things about over a pint. On the bright side, it's open late, kicking off around 8 PM and going strong until 2 AM, which is just perfect if you're in the mood for an evening catch-up with mates after a long day. And with that 3.9 rating, it looks like plenty of people have had a good time there, perhaps drawn in by the lively atmosphere or just the fact it's a familiar spot in the area. But honestly, there are a few bumps in the road; I've come across tales of staff not handling concerns well, like brushing off slips on wet floors or getting a bit too forceful with security, which is a real shame and could leave you feeling uneasy. Then there's the upkeep – it sounds a tad run-down with sticky sofas and wobbly tables that might not make for the comfiest night out. All in all, if you're heading there, it's worth going in with your eyes open, maybe sticking to a group and keeping things light, so you can enjoy the good bits while steering clear of the pitfalls.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
It's got late-night hours, opening around 8 PM and staying open until 2 AM most evenings, which is spot on for a relaxed evening out with friends.
-
With an overall rating of 3.9, it seems like a fair few folks still enjoy popping in for a drink and the social vibe, making it a go-to spot in Aylesbury.
Cons
-
There are some worrying stories about the staff and security being a bit heavy-handed or dismissive, like ignoring safety concerns or getting physical without much reason.
-
The place sounds like it needs a good spruce-up, with reports of sticky furniture, wobbly tables, and even hazards like wet floors that could spoil your night.
-
Entry policies might feel unfair or inconsistent, with a couple of mentions about being turned away over minor things, which could put a damper on things.

Fell down the stairs due to the floor being wet with no sign, raised my concern with the owners and was completely dismissed as they pointed the finger at me. (I wasn’t asking for anything other than an apology) My mum and others I am aware of have also been forcefully removed by bouncers with no reason or explanation. Not a very nice place.
Went there on the weekend. Normally enjoyable but overheard a girl that works there with curly hair shouting at a girl because she was having medication for diabates. “i work here i don’t care if i get kicked out for a fight” the other girl was trying to explain her situation. Hope managers do something about it as was horrible to hear. Many witnesses.
Large security guard here man handled my mum, she's covered in bruises and her hands are swollen she can hardly use them. He went to throw her boyfriend out, nobody's sure why as there was no arguments and my mum asked him to explain why he was doing this, so he grabbed my mum and hurt her. This has happened on 2 occasions now, I am angry as my mum's a vulnerable woman with mental and physical health issues
I have photos of her swelling and bruising which im taking further action on. Never any need for that kind of force on a much smaller woman, disgusting
To be honest, the place is falling apart. The pool tanbkes are on their last legs, the sofas are sticky and you fall right in them, the plasters peeling off the wall and the tables are wobbly. It’s in need of some tlc but none of the staff seem to care. I think the only reason people go here is for the jungle juice, which is nothing even too special
Wouldn't let me in with my medical sleeve and glove because they could be classed as a "weapon" even though I can barely move my hand and when I explained this, they changed their reason for not letting me in because I'm wearing a vest, even though most women are wearing vests, I won't be returning to somewhere that discriminates against disabled. I have been in here loads, but the new bouncers are on a power trip.
